Shirley Shatzoff Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley Shatzoff. Shirley peacefully entered eternal rest on September 6, 2023, in Griffin GA. , in the presence of family members, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion and unwavering devotion. Born on June 26, 1941, in Griffin, GA. Shirley was the beloved daughter of the late James Roy Goggans and Mary Cook Goggans. She embraced the values of her upbringing and carried then throughout her life becoming a beacon of strength and grace. Shirley's life was marked by her noble calling as a nurse. Her selfless dedication to caring for others was a testament to her compassionate nature. With a gentle touch and tender words, she brought comfort and solace to countless individuals during their times in need. She was also an active member of Compassionate Hearts and the Cancer Outreach at Rock Springs Church. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being of others will be forever remembered. Outside of her professional endeavors, Shirley found immense joy in the company of her family. Together, they embarked on adventures, creating treasured memories that will be cherished by her loved ones. Shirley's love for her family knew no bounds, and her warm presence and unwavering support were a constant source of strength and inspiration. Shirley is survived by her sons, David Shatzoff (Roseann), Samuel Shatzoff (Marissa), James Shatzoff (Tamra), and her devoted daughter, Vickie Shatzoff. Shirley is also survived by her Grandchildren, Crystal, Rebecca, Shelby, Sarah, Sydney, Briana, Devin and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Isabel and Dimitri. Shirley now joins her beloved husband, Norman Shatzoff, in eternal peace. Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Rock Springs Church in Milner, GA, officiated by Dr. Benny Tate. Burial will follow at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.
