Shirley Martin Obituary

Shirley Ethel Martin, age 87, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Walter and Mary Grant. Shirley was devoted to her faith and attended New Salem Baptist Church. She was a sports and football fan, and her favorite team were the Steelers. Shirley enjoyed baking and doing puzzles. Most of all Shirley loved her family and always wanted to be with them. Shirley was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her. Shirley is survived by her son; John Martin, her daughters; Connie McNeeley (Dennis), Brenda Boore, and Waldan Olden (Don), as well as 12 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband; John Martin, her son; Dale Martin, and her 12 brothers and sisters. A graveside service for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11:00am at New Salem Baptist Church.
