Shirley Huffman Obituary

Shirley Ann (McCain) Huffman was born in Oklahoma City on March 5, 1938, to Orval Lee McCain and Velda Leona (Eldridge) Brewer. Shirley married the love of her life, Henry Ronald "Ron" Huffman on July 28, 1956. They had two sons: David Lee Huffman and Douglas Wayne Huffman. Shirley retired after fourteen years as Deputy Court Clerk for Rogers County Courthouse in Oklahoma, during which time she served with four different judges as was awarded for her service to the State of Oklahoma. Shirley was always quick with aa smile and treated everyone with courtesy and dignity while performing her duties in an exemplary manner. Shirley was a fan of Rock and Roll music and was especially a fan of Elvis Presley. Shirley saw Elvis live in concert twice, and she remained an avid fan throughout her life. Shirley enjoyed being with her family and friends. She also loved hummingbirds, and there were many who visited her home in Claremore, Oklahoma. Shirley will forever be remembered for her funny and fun loving nature, and she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Shirley passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 85. Shirley is survived by her two sons and their spouses, sister Janice Allin, five granddaughters and several great-grandchildren.
