Dorris Dondena (Donna) Culpepper, 80, of Lawrenceville, GA and formally of Lilburn/Stone Mountain, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Donna was born November 30, 1942 in Rome, GA to the late John Lewis Cowherd and Dorris Mildred Hyatt Cowherd.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Leslie Culpepper; granddaughter, Tiffany Herrin and brother, Robert Cowherd.
She is survived by children, Dawn (Eric) Austin and Tammy (Steve) Delong; grandchildren, Oscar (Tiffany) Herrin III, Blake Herrin, Collette (Dustin) Durrence, James Delong and Melissa Delong; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, John Cowherd; sister, Jimmie (Bill) House and six nieces and nephews, Teri (Lance) Burks; John Cowherd III ; David (Patti) Coherd; Joshua (Sarah) Cowherd; Rachael (Craig) Brownfield; Jessica (Dusty) Williams; and fifteen great nieces and nephews, cousins, Angie, Benji, Jimmy and former husband Raj Jhaveri. .
She grew up in southwest Atlanta and graduated from Sylvan Hills high school in 1961. Donna loved flowers and in addition to various crafts, she loved singing, dancing, and especially Elvis. She loved her family deeply, and more than a few special dogs; (Randy) and (Willy).
During her final year, she had the best time, socializing, playing games and being entertained in the loving care of Life Care Center of Lawrenceville.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 2:00 P. M Sunday, November 12, 2023 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA and the Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00 P. M. The internment will take place at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange following the service.
