On September 4, 2023, Sherry A. Hunt, age 57, of York, passed away peacefully at Highland Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Sherry is survived by her mother, Beverly Scondras; her dad, Peter (Sara) Scondras; children, Ryan Rawleigh and Devynn Rawleigh (Patrick Norton); siblings, Dawnielle Derrick, Dean Derrick, Jodi Scondras, George Scondras, and David Scondras; grandchildren, Calliope Norton and Bentley Norton; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Sherry was born August 1, 1966 in Warsaw, New York. She was known for her crafting and cooking skills, and dedication to her job at Pioneer Credit Recovery. Sherry was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved her dog, Max. Sherry's family would like to send a special thank you to the incredible staff at the UR Medicine Palliative Care Center at Highland Hospital for their compassion and care. They would also like to thank her amazing friends for their love and support, and for making sure she was never alone in her final days. Our beloved Patrick Wallace, born May 29th, 1969, reunited with his cherished father Clare on November 30th, 2023. Patrick was our angel here on Earth, compassionate, caring, and the bond that held our family together. Patrick could only be described as angelic and was the beacon of light to all who knew him. While there is no limit to his compassion, generosity, and thoughtfulness, he also had an incomparable ability to lift even the heaviest of hearts with a simple smile. There was nothing Patrick enjoyed more than family get-togethers. Patrick will be forever loved by his devoted mother Joanne, 7 siblings and their spouses, 17 nieces, nephews and their spouses and significant others, and 18 great-nieces and nephews. With his welcoming smile and gentle manner, Patrick imbued his way into the hearts of all who met and grew to know this man. His love of humanity and essence would only allow love and devotion to be reflected off him. Patrick, a graduate of Holy Childhood, was and will continue to be the Buffalo Bills biggest fan. Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 9th, from 10:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So. ) A celebration of Patrick's life will follow visitation and begin at 1PM. On Friday, December 1st, 2023, Betty A. Martinez, a loving and caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. She passed away at the age of 81 peacefully in her home. She was predeceased by her Spouse Manuel S. Martinez by 5 1/2 months and her Brother Raul F. Anibarro by 1 year and 9 1/2 months. She resided in Rochester, New York. Born in Santiago, Chile to Raul Anibarro and Ana Anibarro-Aranda. She married her childhood sweetheart. Knowing her Spouse Manuel since they were 12 & 13 years old. She was married just short of 53 years. Their relationship and romance was beautiful to witness. They were inseparable. She loved her younger Brother Raul very much. She was his protector. They always did things together and at any hour they enjoyed a cup of coffee or tea with good conversation. Her strength, wisdom, knowledge, humor, hard work, and love will never be forgotten. She was always there. A nurturer and matriarch of her family. She was profoundly Catholic and very spiritual. A good friend to many. She was beautiful inside and out. She was always well dressed. She was a classy lady. Her support and encouragement were endless. You could go to her to discuss anything, receive advice, or help. She loved to travel. She was very active, energetic, and spunky. She enjoyed shopping and going to the Spa. She frequently dined at many local restaurants and loved attending performances. She had a beautiful smile. She was a proud Mother to Peggy and Evelyn. She was a proud Grandmother to Delancey, Danyon, Declan, and Aliyana. She was present in every aspect of their lives. She was happy and loved to dance especially dancing to Rock 'n' Roll and Chilean La Cueca with her spouse Manuel. She loved her Golden Retrievers Reina, Henry, Finn, and cat Stevie. She is survived by her Daughter, Peggy Hobbs, Spouse Michael Hobbs, and her Grandsons, Delancey, Danyon, and Declan Hobbs. Daughter Evelyn Martinez, Spouse Reynier Ordunez, and her Granddaughter Aliyana Ordunez. Brother-in-Law, William Martinez, Spouse Marisol Martinez-Solis, and their Children Marisol G. Martinez-Huang and Andres Martinez. Nephew, Roger Rouse. Niece, Linda Kelly, Spouse Sean Kelly, and their children Michael, Aiden, and Lillian Kelly. Loved by many families and friends in Rochester, Florida, Chile, Venezuela, Peru, Spain, and especially the Ruiz Family in Canada. She will live in our hearts and memories forever.
