DOROTHY JEAN REYNOLDS was called home on November 22nd, 2023. King Jesus, Jean's Lord and Savior, welcomed her with open arms as she entered into Heaven, into Life Eternal in the presence of GOD. DOROTHY JEAN REYNOLDS, age 95, was born on October 17th, 1928, to Joseph and Clarissa Lewis in Brooklyn, New York. Jean spent a generous amount of time with her grandparents in Newfoundland. Jean's parents, her brother and sister preceded her in death. Jean was married to her soul mate, Norval Lee Reynolds, until his passing in 2002. They were each other's best friends and lived life loving each other. Favorite pastimes were spent with family and occasionally eating out, enjoying good food and the company of each other. They were the parents of four beautiful daughters, Debbie (Ty Muntain), Terrie (John Hudson, deceased), Valerie (Kenny Mann) and Kim (George Gerak); grandchildren, Chrisey, Tyler, Matthew, David, and Michael, and great grandchildren Jack and Bradon, and a niece and nephews. Jean was known for her playful-keen sense of humor and a heart as big as all outdoors. Her love and caring extended not just to family, but friends and neighbors alike. She was a keeper of shared secrets and someone who always gave encouragement to others. She inspired others to stay "on track" with both kind words and her winning smile. She was smart. She was wise. Not just in business, as bookkeeper of husband Lee's credit union, but smart and wise in life. Even when folks (as so often do) would turn, Jean would always speak of them with only love. And it wasn't only her fellow humans that Jean's heart was open to, but also to all "4 foots". She shared her life with many dogs and cats. Jean loved the beauty of GOD'S creation and marveled at His handiwork. From scenic vistas to a prized clematis, she stood in wonder at what GOD'S hands had made and was thankful to GOD in her ability to help grow that prized clematis or to appreciate that scenic vista. Active with The Girl Scouts when her daughters were younger, Jean still loved to take part in The Girl Scout luncheons, to sit and eat with friends, talking and chatting, and laughing. Jean was a presence, a life force, that one assumed would always be there. Hearts are heavy with the knowledge that her presence is now but a memory, but a memory that will always remain and be treasured. Her presence was without doubt a present from GOD to family, friends and neighbors. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home with burial at Willoughby Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www. jakubs. comShow more
