"Jack Allen Bryant, age 98, peacefully entered into the arms of our Lord on February 23,2024 at home surrounded by family in Alvin ,Texas. He was born on Hollister, Oklahoma on September 26,1925 to Claud and Mae Bryant. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. After working the oil fields of West Texas he worked at Rapid Transit Lines in Houston where he met the love of his life, Deva Hallmark when she rode his bus to her job at Woolsworth in downtown Houston. They wed in March of 1950. They had 2 children Deborah and Robert. Jack worked 44 years for Rapid Transit (Metro)as a dispatcher and worked part time for 20 of those years at Pasadena ISD as a school bus driver. After retiring Jack and Deva moved to Alvin to be closer to their grandchildren .Jack Bryant loved his family and they all knew it. Jack loved to hunt and fish and always had a great vegetable garden. He loved playing dominos against his brothers. Jack worked hard all of his life and could fix anything. He was very proud to be from the greatest generation and loved his country. He loved Jesus, his Savior and was a member of Westside Church of Christ for many years. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Deva, his parents Claud and Mae. Also all of his 5 brothers Clyde, Johnny, Bill, Toby and Robert. Jack is survived by his daughter Debbie and her husband Richard; son Robert and wife Ana; Grandchildren: Chrissy (Lenny); Luke; Matthew (Courtnee) Greatgrandchildren: Dean, Logan, Cullen and Berta. Also many nieces and nephews. Jack leaves behind a family that he loved to be around. We are forever grateful for his long life and the many memories we all made together. Until we meet again"

Glenn Allen Roye, 67, of Alvin passed away on February 18, 2024. He was born in Texas City on October 8, 1956, to Kathryn (Knolle) and Harold Roye. As a youth he attended the Alvin Methodist Church, and as a young adult, he spent some years in Dallas, where he made many friends and memories, perfecting his skills in the hospitality industry and enjoying his lifelong passion for music. Moving back to this area he opened two restaurants, spent some time working and traveling in the pipeline industry, before returning to his passion in hospitality work. He selflessly cared for his ailing mother and being the oldest of his siblings, he always felt great responsibility and devotion for all his family. He never lost his great love and passion for music and guitars, friends and family. A true gentleman always Glenn, you are already so missed. We love you, keep the music playing for all of us RIP. He was currently employed with O’Reilly auto parts here in Alvin. Glenn is survived by his father, Harold Roye and his wife Ronda Dunn, sister Kayla Tragesser, his nephews Jeremy Smith and his wife Krissa Sowa, Joseph R. McGinn, Eric Knight, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He has lived in Pearland for the last 22 years and formerly of Pasadena, TX. Mr. Resendez has been a carpenter for over thirty years. He is preceded in death by his parents Arnulfo and Pola Resendez and his son Robert Reyna; sisters Pauline Veracruz, Josephine Escobar and Elvira Juarez; brothers Alfred Resendez, Fernando Resendez and Jesse Resendez. Rodalfo is survived by daughters Paula Ann Garcia and her husband Uvaldo and Ruby Ann Lopez; sons Rudolph Resendez, Jr., Pete Resendez and his wife Cynthia, Antonio Resendez, Ruben Anthony Reyna and his wife Marlena, Richard Anthony Reyna and wife Andrea and Ricky Anthony Reyna; brothers Jose Resendez and Arnulfo Resendez, Jr.; 27 grandchildren and 58 great – grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 03, 2024, at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581, with a service to begin at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon John Carrillo officiating.

Karaoke nights were a highlight for Cindy, who never missed an opportunity to showcase her singing talents and spread happiness to those around her. Her infectious energy lit up every pool party, creating lasting memories for everyone. Cindy will be deeply missed, her legacy of living life to the fullest and being the life of the party will continue to inspire all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Joseph and Loretta (Nelson) Gaspard.
