Sharon passed away Saturday morning, October 7, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Age 70 years. She was born June 10, 1953 in Owosso to Harlan and Geraldine Krause. Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert Kelbey on November 25, 1972 and he survives her. She was a member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Sharon enjoyed knitting, travelling and spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband, Gilbert are their two sons and spouses, Ryan (Christina) Kelbey, Kevin Kelbey (Becky Slack); grandchildren, Cody (Danielle) Kelbey, Cameron (Kristen) Kelbey, Alex Kelbey, Isaiah Kelbey, Rachel Kelbey, Naomi Kelbey, Gabriel Kelbey, Ashton Kelbey, Addalyn Kelbey, Annalise Kelbey, Kinsley Kelbey, Kayden Kelbey, and Everleigh Kelbey; great grandchildren, Tyler, Stella, Charleigh, Zander, Aleana, CJ, Olivia, and Scarlett; two sisters, Sherry Schoch and Julie McCloskey; a brother, Terry Krause and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a. m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1123 W. Walnut St. , St. Charles. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 10:00 a. m. until time of celebration. Memorials may be made to the Christian School Education Fund in Sharon's name.

Stephen Francis Gallagher To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Stephen Francis Gallagher of Narrows, VA left his earthly body in the loving care of his sister. He was born in Washington DC on September 17, 1947 to Lloyd F and Virginia Ott Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Timothy Gallagher; a sister, Kathleen Kolpack; a brother-in-law, Bucky Lawson; nephew, Christopher C. Perkins; and 2 cousins, Michael and Bob Ott. He was a 1965 graduate of Blair High School in Silver Springs, Maryland. Stephen had a great passion and knowledge of Roman History, "Rome, Rome, Glorious Rome" and the Civil War. He had a great love and respect for the Marine Corp. The recruiting station in Frederick, Maryland received a large birthday cake made by Stephen on November 10, the Marine Corp's birthday, each year. As a young teenager he was an apprentice chef at Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC. This aspect of his career led to a life-long joy of cooking, baking, and entertaining. Stephen loved to entertain with his special dishes and to make cakes and cheesecakes to give to people. His buttercream icing recipe is being sought by many. His last employment was a baker at Safeway Store. A funny anecdote about Stephen is with all the thousands of bagels he has baked; he never ate one. Stephen was loved and admired by many and he also had a giving heart to help others. He is survived by his loving and devoted sister Judie Lawson. It was a joy for her to spend the last 4 years being together. Also left to cherish his memory are his nephews and nieces, Ronnie, Joe, Donnie, and Kristy Kolpack, Vickie Robinison (Mike); special great nephews and great niece, Michael and Matthew Robinson, Marcus Pryor, Joey, Brady, and Kaiden Kolpack and Kailynn Chapman; many Ott cousins, and special family and friends, Delores and Jimmy Johnston, Linda Vaught, and Chris Payne. There will be a celebration of Stephen's life on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2023. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for their loving care. Benny Morris, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side in his home in Pembroke, Virginia on November 5, 2023. Born on August 12, 1946, in Virginia, to the late John and Elva Farmer Morris, Benny lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a love for the great outdoors. Benny was known for his strong work ethic, which was evident in his distinguished service in the U. S. Navy. His commitment to his country earned him the National Defense Service Medal, an honor he wore with great pride. After his military service, Benny continued to contribute to his community through his work as a Building and Equipment Maintenance supervisor with Verizon. His colleagues remember him as a team player, always willing to lend a hand. Benny's interests were as varied and vibrant as his personality. He was a gifted musician who could play many instruments, and his love for music brought joy to all who knew him. Benny was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and would often take long rides through the mountains to appreciate nature's beauty. A sports enthusiast, Benny loved watching football and baseball games, sharing his passion with his children and grandchildren. Benny was also a skilled technician who enjoyed working on CB radios. His ability to fix almost anything was a testament to his patience and dedication, qualities that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. Benny leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. His son, Randy Morris (Shelley Atkins) of Christiansburg, VA, and his daughter, Deana Garcia (Moises) of Pembroke; and his daughters by heart, Amy Reynolds and Susan McDaniel, all of whom will miss him. Benny also leaves behind his sisters, Loretta Pifer of Dublin, VA, Barbara Hall of Snowville, VA, and Norma McPeak (Tom) of Dublin, VA. Benny was a devoted grandfather to Mikaela Blankenship, Caleb Williams, Aidan Williams, Mia Garcia, and Naomi Garcia. His grandchildren by heart, Josh McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, Niki Reynolds, and Ben Reynolds, will remember their grandfather's laughter and the life lessons he taught them. Benny was preceded in death by his parents, John Morris and Elva Geneva Farmer Morris, his loving wife, Linda Carol Morris, and his siblings, John Morris II, Hensel Morris, William Morgan Morris, Areta Agee, Phillip W. Morris, and Alethia "Gaynell" Ratcliffe. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his part-time caregiver, Crystal Foster-Coleman; Gentiva Hospice; Centerwell Home Health; his special nurse, Brittney Parcell; a special thank you to Giles Community Hospital; especially Amy Gray, his nurse practitioner who provided a Christmas Tree in his home on Monday, November 6, 2023, so he could see a Christmas tree one more time as it was one of his last wishes. The showers of love shown to the family has truly filled their hearts. The family will receive friends in a time of visitation on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Gary Poff in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel where Military Honors will also be presented. Henry Jensen Snider, was born on October 11, 2023, in Roanoke, Virginia to his parents, Spencer Lindsey and Kevin Snider. Henry shortly departed this world under the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on October 22, 2023. Henry was a rare soul whose brief presence in the world left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. Henry was born into the warm and loving family of Spencer Lindsey and Kevin Snider. He also leaves behind his sisters, Braylin Snider, and Addison Snider; grandmother, Michelle Burton; grandparents, John Ervin and Dora Jean Snider; a special cousin, Mabry Gautier; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins. His family members were the cornerstone of his life, providing him with endless love and support. Henry was preceded in death by his loving great-grandparents, Lee and Doris "Nanny" Burton, Geneva Dowdy and Gilbert Dowdy, and Bessie and Johnny B. Snider. Henry's life may have been short, but his impact was immense. He truly touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a beautiful soul, whose light shone brightly in the lives of those around him. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled. However, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
