The legendary Scott Wisor (59) went home to be with our Lord and Savior on May 4, 2023. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his beloved family and friends at the New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Scott was born on July 9, 1963, in Baltimore, MD. He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Rev. Dr. Robert E. Wisor and Elizabeth Wisor of Hopewell Junction, NY. He is survived by his amazing son, Steven R. Wisor, and his beloved sister Sandra J. Wisor, both of Hopewell Junction, NY, along with Steven's mother and Scott's best friend, Christine Downing D'Olivio of Wappinger Falls, NY. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, and cousins from Florida, Maryland, and West Virginia. His family lived in Essex, MD, Jarrettsville, MD, and Elk Grove Village, IL. Since 1979, Scott has lived in Hopewell Junction, NY for over 43 years. Because of his free-spirited nature, he has earned himself the nickname, aka. The Mayor of Hopewell. While growing up Scott was part of the Boy Scouts of America and even played the trumpet. His favorite thing to do was to ride through country cornfields on dirt bikes with his best friends. During high school, Scott attended DC Boces earning certificates in auto mechanics and electricity. After graduation, Scott worked as Sr. Repair Technician for twenty years for The Wisor Computer Center, which serviced the tri-state area. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. Scott had a God-given talent for fixing engines, as he was a self-employed auto mechanic. He would often repair cars for his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and huge fisherman, and otherwise known as the Skipper. Scott loved riding his custom-built Harley-Davidson 1956 Pan, driving his classic cars, which are a 1967 Ford Fairlane and his 1969 Corvette Stingray along with 4X4 with his Ford Diesel trucks over the years. Scott would vacation in Daytona, Florida for Bike Week along with his motorcycle friends. Most of all, Scott cherished spending time with his son by going boating, camping, and fishing in Chincoteague, VA every summer. A Biker's Prayer: May the sun rise in front of me, the rain fall behind me, and the wind follow me. May the Angels guard my travels for they know what is ahead of me. Keep me safe through rolling hills and swirling turns. Let the eagle guide me to the mountain tops. Let the moon's light guide me through the night. Lord, thank you for letting me be a biker.
