"COEBURN, VIRGINIA - Scott Harvey, 54, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee. He was born in Middletown, Ohio; the son of the late Ada Vanwinkle Harvey. Scott was of the Pentecostal faith. He had a great sense of humor, a passion for firearms, and was a true conservative Republican. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Moore of Coeburn, Virginia; one son, Dakota Harvey and wife, Lexi of Sevierville, Tennessee; one step-son, Nickolas Collins of Coeburn, Virginia; one granddaughter and the apple of his eye, Rylan Harvey; his father, Eddie Harvey of Mountain City, Tennessee; one sister, Becky Buchanan of Waverly, Virginia; one brother, Lee Harvey of Blackstone, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Scott Harvey will be conducted at 7:00 p. m. , Monday, May 15, 2023, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia, with Brandon White officiating. Committal Services and Inurnment will be conducted at 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Coeburn, Virginia. Military Rites will be conducted by the Virginia Army National Guard, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rick Bolling. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. , Monday, May 15, 2023, at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
