Sarah Schrivener Obituary

Sarah Diane Schrivener, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. She was born on Thursday, May 14, 1942 to the late James and Larah Fitzwater. Sally spent many years working for the FDA and was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler. She was an avid quilter and made many quilts for charities as well as family and friends. Sally is past Matron of a Washington D. C. Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star past President of Tyler Assembly #127, Social Order of Beauceant. Sally is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Bert Schrivener; and her brother, David Fitzwater. Sally is survived by her step-sons, Bert Eugene Schrivener of Dallas and James V. Schrivener and his wife, Ginger of Pensacola, FL. Sally was part of the Kimwood Lane Family and was loved dearly by her neighbors who watched over her in her final years. Special thanks to her caregiver, Georgia Coleman who filled her days with fun and adventure and made sure life was never a dull moment. Also thank you to her family at the Waterton Plaza and to the kind people at Hospice Home Place that made her final days peaceful. A graveside service for Sally will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, Texas 75704.
