EAREGOOD, Sarah D. (Spooner) - Of Flint, age 62, died Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Funeral service will be held October 1pm Monday, October 9, 2023 at Christian Apostolic Church, 6350 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Bryan Spooner officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Visitation 10am Monday at the church until the time of the service. Sarah was born in Flint, Michigan on November 6, 1960, the daughter of the late Bishop David and Bonnie (Bland) Spooner. On January 29, 2000, she married Joseph Earegood. Sarah worked for Fannie Farmer for 25 years. She was a member of Christian Apostolic Church. Surviving are husband, Joseph; brothers, David (Linda) Spooner and Gus Spooner; sister, Tina Conquest; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends; and special friend, Louise Younce.

KREIDER, Rev. H. James - Age 93, of Flint and Intersession City, FL, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Flint First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Road, Flint. Pastor Gary Curell, Pastor Jim Cochran and Pastor Chadrick Brown officiating. Entombment in the Mausoleum at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the Church Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Heather Creek Church, 118 E. Belvidere Ave. , Flint, MI 48503. Rev. James was born May 9, 1930 in Detroit, the son of Horace Bloom and Gazella (Sebree) Kreider. He was a 1948 graduate of Owosso High School and Owosso Bible College. He married Katherine Louise Easter August 1, 1950 in Owosso. He had resided in the Flint area since 1966. Rev. James spent the past 75 years in the ministry and 47 years pastoring in the Wesleyan Church. He owned Living Color Creations Church Pictorials. He also sang in a quartet, was minister of music, and did evangelistic work. Surviving are: his wife of 73 years, Katherine; children, Linda (Rev. Gary) Curell of Mayville, Sandra (Patrick) Brown of Flint, Wanda (Rev. James) Cochran of Port Charlotte, FL and James E. Kreider (Diane Dexel) of Flint; 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Frances Thompson of Oklahoma, Ruth Dexter of Jackson and Anna (Larry) Bontrager of Cadillac; brothers-in-law, Tony Albarello of Crystal Falls and James Green of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Esther Green, Mary Albarello and Martha Bird; and brother, Paul Kreider; brothers-in-law, Jerry Dexter, Dan Thompson, Don Bird and D. L. Stafford. Mrs. Clarese Sumrall was born June 12, 1935 in Crowder, MS, the daughter of Booker T and Mattie (Vaughn) Sanders. Clarese married Mr. John Sumrall on August 24, 1955 in Marks, MS, and they moved to Flint, MI, where they raised a family. They were married until his death in 2004. Clarese became a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in the 70's and was baptized in the 70's. Clarese worked various jobs, but she was mostly a homemaker who took care of her family. She was a great cook who could make just about anything from scratch. She made one of best tasting banana puddings ever. She loved watching her soap operas. She had love for good music, and one of favorite songs was "All of Me", by John Legend. She love to watch people, and she did this almost everyday by sitting in a chair outside on her enclosed porch, or in the drive way. She was always about love, and she never met anyone that she didn't like. THOMPSON Scott Allen - Age 53, of Flint, MI, passed away on November 29, 2023 in Pontiac, MI. He was born on May 14, 1970, in Flint. Scott was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who had a deep passion for the outdoors. Scott was a true outdoorsman, and he instilled his love for nature in his sons, Chad and Alex. Whether it was making breakfast, watching football, golfing, riding four-wheelers, or searching for deer with his grandkids, Scott cherished every moment spent with his family. He knew how fortunate he was to have the love of his life, Tracie Thompson, by his side for 40 years. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Scott was a graduate of Bendle High School. He pursued a career as an ironworker, dedicating his skills and expertise to his profession. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date to honor and remember Scott's remarkable life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tracie Thompson; his sons, Chad (Taylor) Thompson and Alex (Angie) Thompson; his cherished grandchildren, Adalyn, Henry, Alayna Jo, August, and Emersyn; his parents, Ezra (Jinx) and Judy Thompson; his brother, Kevin Thompson, and many other beloved family members. Lauretta was born in Flint, Michigan on November 8, 1937, the daughter of the late George and Neva (Stuck) McNally. On September 22, 1956 she married Donald Bauer. She was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran, where she was active serving on various committees. She was currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She organized Euchre clubs for many years. She worked at Buick Engineering for 23 years. Surviving are her husband, Donald; 3 children, Glen (Jackie), Tracie (Norm) Crook and Katrina; grandchildren, Ashley (Stefan) Fadel, Meagan (Anderson) Adams and Shana (Beau) Jamison; 7 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Kate, and Anderson Adams, Alexander, Evan, Brooke and Madison Fadel; many nieces and nephews; cousin, Sharon Secord. Phyllis was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 2, 1940, the daughter of the late Henry and Frances (Richardson) Abel. Phyllis graduated from Central High School, Class of 1959 and received her Associates in Business at Mott Community College. Phyllis married Loren Robert Bentley "Bob" on February 24, 1968. Phyllis was a Deaconess, social committee, awana club at North Baptist Church from 1968-1987, a member of Calvary Bible Church of Lapeer. Phyllis matured into her religious endeavors at Oak Park United Methodist Church. Phyllis loved flower arrangements and photography. Phyllis started her career at McLaren in 1957 and worked her way up to the diet office and medical records. From 1967 to 1983 she worked at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, where she was a medical transcriptionist and a pathology medical secretary. Surviving are brother, Richard (Patricia) Abel of Davison; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Robert Bentley.Show more
