Sara Jo (Vinson) Turner, 70, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, October 5th, at Monroe County Medical Center Sara was born in Tompkinsville, KY on August 14, 1953, a daughter of the late Eva Lucille (Hackett) and Homer Tommy Lee Vinson Sara is survived by a sister, Betty Isenberg, of Tompkinsville, KY; a brother, Travis Vinson, and wife, Martha, of Gamaliel, KY; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Vinson, of Lafayette, TN; Alice Fay England, of Hestand, Ky and Emma Jean Vinson, of Tompkinsville, KY; four grandchildren, Dillon Thomas Turner, Dustin Tyler Turner, Eternity De'An Bray and Ethan Scott Turner, and four great grandchildren She is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Wayne Turner, brothers, Harold Gray, Donald Ray and Comas Clay Vinson Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 1:00 p m at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Bailey Cemetery Bro Gary Emberton will officiate the service Visitation is Saturday, 5-8 p m and Sunday, 9:00 a m until 1:00 p m at Yokley Trible Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, donations in Sara's memory are suggested to Bailey Cemetery or funeral expenses To to the family or in memory of Sara Jo (Vinson) Turner, please

Mary Doyle (Proffitt) Brown, 92, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 14th, surrounded by her family at Monroe County Medical Center. Mary Doyle was born in the Forkton Community of Monroe County, KY, on September 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Gladys (High) and Ralph O. Proffitt. Mary Doyle was a teacher for the Monroe County Board of Education for 36. 33 years. She was a graduate of Campbellsville University and Western Kentucky University. She started teaching in a one room school at Brushy Point, she later taught at Fountain Run and Gamaliel Schools. Mary Doyle was a member of Monroe County Retired Teachers Association. She loved to preserve the past through antiques. Mary Doyle enjoyed flowers, cheering on Cincinnati Reds and UK, and watching golf. Mary Doyle always decorated her front yard and home for every season. She was a member of Freewill Church of Christ. On February 8, 1952, she married Billie Ray Brown in Indianapolis, IN. Billy Ray preceded her in death on November 21, 2003. Mary Doyle is survived by a daughter, Danita Spear, and husband, Tony; two sons, Rickie Brown, and wife, JoAnn, and Chan Brown, and wife, Mindy, all of Tompkinsville, KY; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Brown, of Scottsville, KY; three grandchildren, Emily Brown Shaw, and husband, Tyler, Amanda Brown and Evan Brown and two great grandchildren, Kiptyn and Tucker Shaw. Mary Doyle is also survived by a brother, Carlie Mack Proffitt, and wife, Janice Graves, of Tompkinsville, KY and William Donald Proffitt, and wife, Sandy of Indiana. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Brown and one grandson, Richard Joseph Brown. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 1:00 p. m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, burial will follow at the Neal Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, November 17, after 4:00 p. m. , and Saturday, November 18 from 7:00 a. m. until service time at 1:00 p. m. Edward "Edd" Marshall Turner, 85, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 7th, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Edd was born in Tompkinsville, KY on February 12, 1938, a son of the late Blanche (Denham) and Levy B. Turner. Edd married Carolyn Emmert Turner on May 6, 1956 in Rockbridge. Carolyn preceded him in death on November 20, 2015. Edd worked as a mechanic and started at a early age, even before 16. He was a mechanic all throughout his life at various places. Before moving back to Tompkinsville, he worked at Chevrolet in Shelbyville, IN; after moving back home, he worked at Landrum Motors, the Ford garage in Grandview, Ford and Chrysler in Lafayette, TN, Ford in Tompkinsville and then worked fro himself for many years. Edd enjoyed hunting, fishing, dryland fish hunting and raising a garden. Edd is survived by two daughters, Karen York, and husband, Dale, of Albany, KY; Sharon Grider, and husband, Teddy, of Tompkinsville, KY; three sons Tommy Turner, and wife, Wanda, of Tompkinsville, KY; Eddie Turner, and wife, Bonnie, of Gamaliel, KY and Kenny Turner, and wife, Carolyn, of Tompkinsville, KY; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Sheffield, and wife, Amanda, Laura Lee Whited, and husband, Chad, Jarred Grider, and wife, Jennifer, Taylor Grider White, and husband, Aaron, and Kelsey Turner; and 5 great grandchildren, Griffin Sheffield, Emery Whited,Ethan Whited, Liam White and Layla White. Other than his wife, Carolyn Turner, and parents, Levy B. and Blanche Turner, brother, Virgil Turner, and four sisters, Ruby Stevens, Molene Rozell, Clairine Elkins, and Dorothy Newton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. on Friday, November 10th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Gamaliel Cemetery.
