Natalie M. Saft Pine Bush, NY Natalie M. Saft, longtime resident of the area, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 18, 2024. She was 95. The daughter of the late Angelo Riccardi and Filomina Vena Riccardi, she was born on December 25, 1928 in Old Forge, Pennsylvania. Natalie was a retired employee of the Pine Bush Central School District, in which she held the following positions: Secretary of Special Programs, Para-Professional, Substitute Teacher, Library Assistant, Greeter, and Attendance Officer. She was best known for her holiday decorations and bulletin boards throughout the school year. Natalie also served as Vice President of the Tri-County Association of Educational Secretaries. She was a member and past secretary of the G. Paul Bettinger American Legion Auxiliary Post 1308 and was past secretary of the Pine Bush Senior Citizens. Natalie is survived by her five children and spouses: Jean Feller (Walter), Stephen Saft (Michele), Nancy Wright (Adolph), John Saft (Loretta), Phyllis Sendelback (Joseph), all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended families. Natalie was predeceased by husband - Richard Saft; Parents - Angelo Riccardi and Filomina Vena Riccardi; infant daughter Robin; and her ten brothers and sisters. Mona Lee Bogan, of Pine Bush, NY, formerly of Woodbourne, NY, passed away on February 6, 2024 after a long illness. She was 68. She was the daughter of the late Henry (Hank) and Lillian (Pat,nee Hendrickson) Bogan, born on February 16, 1955 in Monticello, NY. Mona was a 1973 graduate of the Fallsburg Central School District. She went on to study at Russell Sage College, where she received her BA in Math, Secondary Education, and English. She returned to teach at Fallsburg in1977. During her 35 years at the school, Mona taught both math and English, and spent time as principal, AP, and Dean of Students, before retiring in 2012. While teaching, Mona received both her Master’s Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration and Supervision from SUNY New Paltz. After her retirement, Mona continued in the education field by tutoring many students in the tri-county area, helping them to pass their Regents exams and SATs. She was a very active and dedicated member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Women Educators International Organization, where she was Treasurer for the local Tau Chapter and a member/chair of the State Finance Committee. Mona also got her Real Estate license in 2013. She leaves behind her cousin Judi (Dave) Evans and her family of Minnesota; Bill (Liz) Hendrickson and family of California; Gary Hendrickson of Florida; Robert Devore and family of Grahamsville, and numerous friends who loved baseball as much as she did. She was a die-hard Yankees fan! A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until noon on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Parsonage Road, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Mary K. Fay Pine Bush, NY Mary K. Fay, a former resident of Pine Bush, NY, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday February 7, 2024. She was 88. Mary was born in Manhattan to the late Andrew Gallagher and Elizabeth Davey Gallagher on October 20, 1935. Survivors include her loving sons, John Fay and his wife Patricia of New Jersey, Michael Fay and his wife Cheryl of NY, Brian Fay and his wife Barbara of Florida, and Timothy Fay of NY; loving daughter, Cathleen Fay of NY; eight loving grandchildren, Kevin Reilly, Alyssa and her fiancé Brenten, Casey and his wife Taylor, John Patrick III, Daniel, Andrew, Beatrice Rose and Carley Fay; four loving great-grandchildren, Bennett, Wyatt, Wilde, Eloise; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, John P. Fay; her siblings Andrew Gallagher, Eugene Gallagher, Elizabeth Gallagher Witzke and Theresa Gallagher Davis. Visitation will be held from 3-5pm., Sunday February 11, 2024 and from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Monday February 12 at William M Gagan Funeral Home., 1525 Burlingham Rd, Pine Bush, NY 12566. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday February 13 at Church of the Infant Savior, Rte 302, Pine Bush. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery. "Our dear Maria Gabriella Pongracz was called home on January 18, 2024, at the age of 81, filled with every bit of love her family could give her. The daughter of the late Albert Pongracz and Elizabeth Pongracz, she was born on January 21, 1942, in Budapest, Hungary. Maria came to America in 1956 at the age of 14 to begin a new life here, but always remained a true Hungarian Girl. She faced every challenge in life with strength, courage and of course, humor. Maria finished life in Pine Bush, New York, where she was the President of the Pine Bush Seniors for years. This group meant the world to her and provided her so much joy and happiness. She belonged to many other senior groups in the area and loved each one. She was happiest when being her true, social self. We all know, she loved a crowd! A true icon in her town, we know she will miss you all. Maria was proud of her children, Maria Zanetti, Elizabeth Connelly, Susan Brown, Paul Dudas (predeceased by), Butch Dudas (Barbie), Maggie Barone (Tad), Kathy O\u0027Connell (Tom), and Andrea Graham; Her grandchildren, Anthony Zanetti, Christina Zanetti, Jonnell Connelly-Brundage, Erica Brown-Holzhauer, James Baggatta, Ashley Shimek, Craig Dudas, Nicole Dudas, Sophronia Barone, Sydney Barone, Michael Gledhill, Cassandra Benz, Austin King, Alexandrea Cuebas and Aidan Graham; Her great-grandchildren, Philip Connelly(predeceased by), Emily Brundage, Cameron Holzhauer, Cecelia Holzhauer, Jayden Layer, Azaria Shimek, Mason Dudas, Isla LoPiccolo, Sienna LoPiccolo, Emmett Gledhill (his Big Big), Ian Gledhill and Miles Benz; Her sister Jane Reynolds and her beloved dog, Pumpkin.
