Sandra Jackson Obituary

Sandra Kay Simpson Jackson, 73, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at her son's home in Johnson City, Tenn. She was born January 16, 1950, in Richlands, Va. , to the late William E. Simpson and Izona Baldwin Simpson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Jackson. Sandra was a devout Christian, she loved reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cross stitching, drawing and painting. Sandra was proud to serve as a Registered Nurse at Bluefield Regional Hospital for many years. Survivors include her children, Sherry L. Jackson and Derrick W. Jackson and wife Heather; grandchildren, Laura Holt and husband Tyler, Kayla Graff, Sydney Jackson, Erynn Jackson, Noah Jackson and Taylor Jackson; great grandchild, Jackson Holt; and brother, Jim Simpson and wife Vicky. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p. m. , Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Singleton Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 1 p. m. , in the chapel with Rev. Rick Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
