William "Billy" Anthony Bucheral, 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Tamarac, Florida (formally of Erie). He was proceeded in death by his late parents, Anthony "Tony" and Lois Bucheral, and a nephew, James Bucheral. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Valorie (Dylewski) Bucheral; two daughters: Jennifer Bucheral and Jessica Burick and her husband Daniel; four grandchildren: Brynlee Dunham, Austin, David and Lettie Burick. He has one brother, David Bucheral (Marie); one sister, Barbara Fralick (Brent); and one very special sister-in-law, Cheryl Laboda. He also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Billy attended Academy High School. He worked for Uniflow Manufacturing Company for a number of years, Erie Contract Interiors, and was a member of the Laborer's Union before retiring in 2018. He played softball for Uniflow while employed. He was a lifelong and avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He and his wife were 32-year lot owners at Holiday Camplands where he enjoyed spending many weekends and once retired, he spent his full summers there. Billy also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek) on Saturday, January 13th, from 2 pm until the time of a Memorial Service at 4 pm. "Helen Sarah Strauss, age 94 of Mattoon, IL formerly of Tamarac, FL passed away at 1:20 pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL. A funeral service in her honor will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, October 9, 2023, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938. Reverend David Knox is officiating. The visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. The interment will take place at Star of David Memorial Gardens in North Lauderdale, FL. Helen was born on December 30, 1928, in The Bronx, NY to the late Max and Rebecca (Ashkinazy) Rappaport. She married Milton Strauss on April 10, 1949, in New York, NY; he preceded her in death on July 9, 2012. She is survived by two sons, Mark G. Strauss and wife Tana (Willaredt) of Mattoon, IL, Alan E. Strauss and wife Randy of Casa Grande, AZ; two brothers, Jack Rappaport of Los Angeles, CA, Jason Rappaport of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren: Beth Fallacaro and husband Vincent of Hellertown, PA, Lindsay Hinkle and husband Carl of Rosswell, GA, Matthew Strauss and special friend Kate Warning of Champaign, IL, Jamie Taylor and husband Aaron of San Jose, CA, Robin Strauss of Savoy, IL, Laura Strauss of Illinois, Travis Blackwell of St. Paul, MN; five great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Asher, Preston, Vincent, and Alexa. Helen delighted in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a former New York City Beauty Queen, an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards and socializing with her friends. However, her most cherished moments were those spent visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as it filled her heart with deep joy. She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered. Jodi Recalt, aged 56, passed away on November 30, 2023. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Jodi Recalt was born on August 12, 1967, in Monticello, NY, and spent her formative years in South Florida. She went on to attend college at Stetson University and later went on to climb her way to success in the Commercial Real Estate industry, where she finished her career as a Real Estate Manager for Wawa. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. But more than anything, Jodi Recalt was a devoted mother. She loved spending time with her son, sharing stories, traveling together, and overall, just spending every second she could with him. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In her free time, Jodi enjoyed her pool days with her fur-babies, dates with her friends, she loved spending time with her family, and was always eager to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. She was an active member of the dog rescue community, volunteering for various causes and organizations. Jodi Recalt is survived by her loving mother, Terry Miller, her son, Nicholas Recalt, her sister, Nikki Miller, and her beautiful niece, Gabriella Pipia. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. A funeral service, followed by a celebration of life will be held for family and all of her friends. The service will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4595 Bayview Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. The celebration of life will immediately follow the service and will be held at The Coral Ridge Country Club, 3801 Bayview Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.
