SERVICE INFORMATION:Sandra Jean (Mount) Booker, 81, of Shenandoah, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Nebraska Medicine - Omaha following a brief illness. A graveside celebration of Sandy's life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, 2:00 pm at the Farragut Cemetery in Farragut, Iowa. Memorials are being directed to the family. Dianna Jean Bennage Reed, 76, of Shenandooah, Iowa entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Goldenrod Manor in Clarinda, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 25. 2023 in the Community Room at Autumn Park from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM providing a pot luck lunch. Bring your favorite dish to share with family and friends. OBITUARYDianna Jean Bennage, daughter of Royal Everette Vernon Mutchler and Eva May (Strange) Mutchler, was born on September 18, 1947, in Shenandoah, Iowa. Dianna entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Goldenrod Manor in Clarinda, Iowa, at the age of 76 years, 2 months. Dianna grew up in the Shenandoah area and attended the Shenandoah Community Schools. On January 19, 1964, Dianna was united in marriage to Fred C. Bennage in Shenandoah, Iowa. They resided in Shenandoah and were blessed with three children, Fred Vernon, Joyce Deanna, and Anna Marie. Her working career began when she applied to be a Nurse's aide at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah while still in high school. Dianna later worked at Henry Fields Nurseries for many years and did odd jobs also on the side. She last worked at the Shenandoah Wal-Mart. Always loving the outdoors, Dianna enjoyed walking on the Wabash Trace trail, riding bikes and especially loved singing and dancing with her granddaughter. Additionally, she enjoyed pottery collectables, Elvis Presley, Gene Kelly, reading and coloring. Dianna attended the Assembly of God Church in Shenandoah, where she was a member of the Christian Women's group. Preceding Dianna in death were her parents; husband, Fred C. Bennage; daughter, Joyce Bennage; and brother, Roy Mutchler. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Fred V. Bennage of Clarinda, IA; daughter, Anna Richardson and husband Joseph of Clarinda, IA; four granddaughters, Dianna Bennett, Sandra Johnson, Holly Johnson and Stormy Johnson; two great granddaughters, Lilly Bennett and Violet Bennett; sister, Linda Hilker of Shenandoah, IA; brother, Alfred Mutchler of Shenandoah, IA; Godly sister, Marcia Gilbert of Shenandoah; other relatives; and many dear friends.Show more

SERVICES:Roy Gustavo Barbosa Gomez, 32, of Pueblo West, Colorado, and formerly of Shenandoah, Iowa, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 23, 2023, at his home in Pueblo West, Colorado. A celebration of life memorial service for Roy will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at Nishna Valley Funeral and Cremation Service with Father Tom Thakadipuram officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends with visitation from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are being directed to the family. OBITUARY:Roy Gustavo Barbosa Gomez, son of Ricardo Barbosa and Candida Gomez, was born on May 14, 1991, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2023, at his home in Pueblo West, Colorado, at the age of 32 years, 5 months, 9 days. His early life was spent growing up in Shenandoah, Iowa. Roy attended the Shenandoah Community Schools and graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 2009. Playing for the Mustangs, Roy excelled on the football team, especially at special teams where he was an elite kicker. He would go on to kick for the Iowa Central Football team in Fort Dodge, Iowa, his freshman year. He later transferred to Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, as a placekicker for the Rievers. After receiving his associate degree from Iowa Western, Roy enlisted in the United States Army in 2016. Roy achieved the rank of Sergeant and was stationed at Ft Hood, Texas, and later at Ft Carson, Colorado and was still on active duty. He worked as a Behavioral Health Tech and helped many soldiers who struggled with mental health. He was currently attending school to become an EMT. On October 28, 2019, Roy was united in marriage to Megan Brianne Huscko at Ft Hood in Killeen, Texas. Following their marriage, they resided in Killeen while both of them served their country. In 2021, they were transferred to Ft Carson, Colorado. They were currently living in Pueblo West, Colorado. An outdoor enthusiast, Roy enjoyed being out in nature, going on hikes on mountain trails or walking paths at parks. He loved playing with his dog Jasper, and he enjoyed watching football; his favorite team was the Minnesota Vikings, and he enjoyed being home. He also loved to cook and especially enjoyed spicy Mexican food. Left to cherish Roy's memory are his wife, Megan Huscko; daughter, Marti Ann Hughes; mother, Candida Gomez; father, Ricardo (Beverly) Barbosa; brother, Ricky (Alexia) Barbosa, and their child, Brinley; sister, Yessenia (Martin) Zarate and their children, Naomi and Elian; faithful companions, his dogs, Jasper, Bella and Flash and Sphinx cat, Kitty Boy; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents; and many friends.Show more
