Sandra Batten Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" L. Batten, age 82 of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the Ayden Healthcare of Greenville. Sandy was born in Bradford on May 17, 1940 to the (late) Walter E. & Pauline (Westfall) Canan; attended Bradford Schools; and retired from Stanley Products in Covington. She was an avid tennis fan; enjoyed doing arts and crafts; and she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Miller; brothers, Fred Canan, and Roger Canan. Sandy is survived by her two children, Michael (Teresa) Batten, and Darla (Todd) Printz, both of Ansonia; her grandchildren, Joe (Grace Garrison) Batten, and Alyssa (Chad) Miley, Sara (Dan) Kaiser, and Chris (Chelsea) Printz; her great-grandchildren, Holden Kaiser, Halle Kaiser, Elowyn Printz, and Dreyden Shroder; her dogs, Bailey and RJ; her brothers, Scott (Christine) Canan of Bradford, Ron (Karen) Canan of Bloomer; her sister, Debbie (Dave) Dirksen of Bradford; her sister-in-law, Ruth Canan of Columbus; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Everheart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway, Greenville, OH 45331. There will be no services per Sandy's request.
