Sandi Ballew Obituary

Sandra Ballew, Age 75 of Atlanta, Georgia, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, April 29th, at Sosebee Funeral Home with Pastor Ken May officiating. Interment will take place in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Ballew was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was a devout Christianand loved singing in the church choir. She enjoyed reading, traveling, music, watching tv and movies, word games, puzzles and spending time with her family. Sandra graduated from Towers High School in 1966. She was awarded a certificate from the National Honor Society for outstanding academic achievement in the subject of Sociology in 1964-65. She received her Associate of Science degree from DeKalb College in 1969. Ms. Ballew retired from Georgia Pacific Company of Atlanta in 2008. She was also a former employee of Owens-Corning. Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved parents William Aden Ballew and Frances Marilee (Frazier) Ballew. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Lee (Jim), Jeanie Vickers (Nolan) and Virginia "Ginger" Ballew (Vernon Freeman); nieces and nephews, Brian Lee (Stephanie), Jeff Barfield (Kelly), Kelli Lee, Bonnie Barfield, Jesse Green (Keemia); great nieces and nephews: Cameron and Chase Slagle, Makenna, Brooklyn, Collins, and Race Lee; Emma, Helaina, Loretta Rose and Turner Barfield; and Charlotte Barfield; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
