"Sammy Ray Saliba, age 80 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 28, 1942, in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Merle Zachary and George G. Saliba. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for twenty-two years retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was a beloved and active member of Swilley Hill Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brian Ray Saliba. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years: Joyce (Judy) James Saliba of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Eddie Corbett of Valdosta, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law: Edward and Gina Dungan of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter: Lorrie Ann Saliba Horne of Barwick, Georgia; four grandchildren: Allen Michael Arnold, Dalton Rose Arnold, Gabriel Dungan, and Samantha Brianne Horne; four great-grandchildren: Layla, Cora, Ella, and Joshua; three brothers: Tommy Saliba of Waycross, Georgia, Mitchell Saliba of Jacksonville, Florida and Dino Saliba of Crawfordville, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Swilley Hill Church of God with Bishop Andy Pearson, Bishop Raymond Gabbard and Bishop Brett Jarriel officiating. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 am until service time Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Swilley Hill Church of God.
