Jody was born August 23, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan to Henry “Fred” Heinz and Elspath “Ellie” Heinz (Wright).Jody was employed at Saginaw ISD for many years. She had many loves, including dragonflies, pugs, cooking, baking, motorcycles, and traveling, especially to Arizona, Japan, and Hawaii.Jody is survived by her son, Paul Gaertner; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Gaertner, grandson, Tristen Gaertner; granddaughter, Chloe Gaertner; three brothers, Mark (Mary) Heinz, Jedd (Darci) Heinz, and Troy (Lynn) Heinz; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Justin) Fowler, Makenzie Heinz, Jordan, Taylor, and Alexis Heinz, Logan Mika, Kristine (Danny) DeLeon, Henry and Olivia DeLeon, Kurt Rodriguez (Veronica Moore); special friends, Maria Gordon, and Robin Wessondecaire; and two special dogs, Charlie and Callie.Jody was preceded in death by her father, Henry “Fred” Heinz, and her mother Elspath “Ellie” Heinz (Wright), sister, Kimber Rodriguez, and niece Nicole Mika.The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Ascension St. Mary’s of Saginaw, Michigan, and the staff at Symphony Tri-Cities in Bay City, Michigan, especially Maddie and Julie.

Rosalie A. Davenport Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Monday, February 26, 2024 at Edgewood Assisted Living with her family by her side. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Wesley J. and Catherine (Jarema) Leuenberger, Rosalie was born June 28, 1938 in Kochville, Michigan. She was married to Michael L. Davenport, her loving husband of 53 years, on May 2, 1959. He predeceased her April 11, 2013. Rosalie was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, League of Catholic Women and former member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rosalie enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, knitting and going to the ca$ino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a fantastic baker and her delectable pies, cream puffs and cinnamon rolls will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons, Duane and Becky Davenport, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Diane and Jon Lilliestierna, Saginaw; David and Cindy Davenport, Freeland; Donna and Frank Mejia, Saginaw; thirteen grandchildren, Dustin and Jacob Davenport, Krystle (Travis Taylor) Lilliestierna, Kara (Nicholas Henry) Lilliestierna, Carly, Ciara and Cadia Davenport, Alexandria (Andy) Weddle, Michelle (Zach Slater) Monnier, Michael, Eric, Crystal and David Mejia; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Parker, Nora, Pete, Rose, Lincoln, Odin and Zelda; one sister, Catherine Davis, Saginaw; one brother, Bruce (Carol) Leuenberger; many nieces and nephews. Rosalie was preceded in death by her siblings, Dennis (Ann) Leuenberger, Wayne (Marilyn) Leuenberger, Bob Leuenberger; her brother-in-law, Clarence Davis. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the staff of Edgewood Assisted Living and Careline Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Robert “Bob” Daniel Dennis, age 87, of Mayville passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Covenant Health Care, Saginaw. He was born August 3, 1936 in Mayville to the late Bruce and Ada (Middleton) Dennis. Bob was a Graduate of Caro High School. He married Betty Smith on September 27, 1958 in Caro. Bob served in the United States Navy from 1956-1959. He had a passion for horses; he cared for, trained, taught many kids how to ride and show over the years. Bob and Betty showed many horse breeds over the years ending their career with Pinto horses. He was involved with 4H and served for over 40 years as head of Tuscola County Fair Horse division. Bob was one of the first members of the Sheriff Posse in Tuscola County. He helped start the Blue Water Pleasure Horse Association, was a Boy Scout leader for many years, was in charge of the Lions Fundraiser game for the 4H horse leaders for over 20 years where you could always find him on the sidelines in a cowboy hat and boots. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty; children, Dan (Gloria) Dennis, Scott (Laura) Dennis, and Kristine (Butch) Raby; grand kids, Jimmy (Heather) Beyerlein, Kristal Baker, Kadee Raby, Wayne (Doni) Dennis, Crystal (Kelly) Dennis, Samantha (Dylan) Murphy, Brandon Raby, Robert Raby and Matthew Raby; great grandchildren, Tyler, Spencer,Shayla, Seth, Tanner, Kinsley, Emma, Hunter, Dalton, Cole and Clair; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Onalee; brother, Bruce (Joan) Dennis, brother in law, Butch Cummings; sister in law, Marilyn Dennis; nieces, Heidi and Kelly; in laws, Ward and Viola Smith; and brother and sister in law, Buck and Doris Rutenbar. The daughter of Larry and Cathie (Wiggins) Shank, Trina was born March 7, 1981, in Cadillac, Michigan. Trina loved music, monkeys, and cats, especially her own three cats. She was a dedicated worker who truly enjoyed going to work to stay busy. Trina also adored time spent outdoors and going for walks. Trina is survived by her children, Chase Shank (Savannah), Taylor Shank, Morgan Oswalt, and Zach Oswalt; grandchildren, Brayden Shank and Bailey Shank; parents, Larry and Cathie Shank; sister, Shana Shank; grandfather, Frank Wiggins (Phyllis Birtles); and grandmother, Joann Lowell. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on February 21, 2024 at his residence with his family at his side. He was 76 years old. Jesus was born on June 17, 1947 in Saginaw, MI the son of Faustino and Ruperta (Gonzales) Torrez. He was united in marriage to Donna Mopavich on August 22, 1987; she survives him. Jesus enjoyed drawing, singing the oldies, his chickens and rooster and tending to his garden. But most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Jesus will always be remembered for his big heart. He was always giving his harvest to everyone. Jesus was known to help anyone out that he could. Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Donna (aka baby Huey by Jesus); his children; Marcos (Celia) Gomez, Jesus “Jay” Torrez and Jessica Torrez, grandchildren; Sylvia Gomez, Rafael Torrez, Jesus “Jay” Torrez, Ellieanna Torrez, Jaylah Torrez, Emiliano Torrez, Gino Torrez, Gabriel Gomez, Julian Torrez, Mia Gomez, Gino Torrez, Neveah Torrez and a grandson on the way, Luciano Torrez, a great-grandson due in April; Luca Gomez; siblings, Ricardo Torrez, Francisco (Lorraine) Torrez, Faustino (Maria Teresa) Torrez Jr., Consuelo (Roberto) Flores, Anita (Paulo) Rodriguez; sister in-law Sue Torrez, and many nieces and nephews. Jesus was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters, Daniel Torrez, Guadalupe Martinez, Ofelia (John) Elizalde, and Maria Elena Torrez. The Torrez family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care and his brother and sister, Francisco Torrez and Anita Rodriguez for being with Jesus in his time of need. The daughter of the late Bernard and Mable (Boyce) Bueter, Audrey was born on November 12, 1934 in Davison, Michigan. She married Robert Irwin on October 31, 1953. He predeceased her on January 11, 2016. Audrey was a real-estate broker and with her husband Robert, were co-owners of Irwin & Associates in Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter and a son, Teresa (Hans) Irwin Hintzen, Chicago, Illinois; Mark (Janet) Irwin, Louisville, Kentucky; a grandson, Mark Irwin II, Louisville, Kentucky; four great-grandchildren, Mark Irwin III, Emily Irwin, Sara Irwin and Cody Tewsley; her sister, Ann Bueter, Saginaw; many cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Audrey was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Tewsley and sisters, Margaret Bray, Maureen Miller and Elaine Millsap. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street. Rev. Fr. Bala Showry Madanu will officiate.
