Victor Manuel Guerra Jr., affectionately known to all as "Buda," passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 55. He was born to Victor Sr. and Blanca Falcon on June 11, 1968, in McAllen, Texas. Victor was a resident of Edinburg, Texas, having previously lived in Mission. He was a hardworking and dedicated individual for many years at his father’s company known as Victor M. Guerra Inc. with a strong work ethic that was admired by all who knew him. Victor was a loving son, brother, and father. He is survived by his mother, Blanca Falcon; his son Victor III; his siblings Omar (Araceli) Guerra, Francisco Guerra, Josie (Juan) Chapa, and Carla Guerra. He was predeceased by his father, Victor Sr.; his sister, Yvette Espitia; and his grandmother, Carlotta Guerra. Victor's love, dedication, and sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Mr. Ybarra had a golden heart, he enjoyed helping anyone who needed him. At his younger years he played softball, race-walks, and run 10k's. Jesus was family oriented, he dedicated his life to care and love his wife and children. Every Saturday, he had family lunch at the Pesca Restaurant. Jesus worked for 32 years at City of McAllen, coordinating the McAllen Parade had an important role in his life. He was a hard working man with traditional values, Jesus owned his landscaping business seems he was 19 years old. His jokes and smile are going to be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death parents, Julia C. and Jose G. Ibarra; two siblings, Daniel Ibarra and Maria Delia Vela. Jesus is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years of marriage, Gregoria Villarreal-Ybarra; Jesus Ybarra, Josiah Victor Ybarra; his seven siblings, Jose Guadalupe Ibarra Jr., Julia Ibarra, Dalia Garcia, Sandra Cuevas, Sally Ibarra, Sandy Ibarra, Leroy Ibarra; and numerous extended family. Paul Gonzales, Jr., 81, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born on a Monday, February 1, 1943 in Edinburg, Texas to Pablo Barrientes Gonzales and Maria Pardo Gonzales. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Juanita (Joe) Rios and nephew; Gregory Paul Perez. Paul is survived by his siblings; Elia (Gabriel) Perez, Ruben (+Diane) Gonzales, Vicente Gonzales, Ricardo (Marta) Gonzales, Edda Hernandez and Michael (Elena) Gonzales as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paul lived in Pecos, Texas during his school years and graduated from Pecos High School. He then moved to Toledo, Ohio where he studied at Mercy College and worked as a physical therapy assistant at Mercy Hospital for many years. He then moved home to Edinburg and worked in an outpatient setting until his retirement. He was a devoted Catholic and attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. He was an avid reader and loved music of any genre; a trait he passed on to all his siblings He was a runner and participated in many races and loved to travel. Daniel Mendez, age 16, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2024 in Edinburg. He was born to Claudia Ovalle and Rigo Mendez on February 14, 2007 in Tampa, Florida. Daniel was a caring person, loved to help and take care of others. He loved to fish, swim, play video games, ride horses and his bike. Daniel was a jokester, he enjoyed pranking people and making them laugh. Above all, Daniel was a respectful, loyal, strong, brave boy, he loved his family immensely and was a great friend, he was always there when you needed him. He was a member of Notorious Street Racing bike crew. Left to cherish his memory is his loving mother, Claudia Ovalle and his siblings: Rigo Mendez, Isabella Gisselle Mendez, Jonathan Mendez and Nicholas Mendez. He is now reunited with his beloved father, Rigo Mendez; who has preceded him in death. He was a loving and happy child, he was the love of his parents eyes. Armany enjoyed playing in his tablet, playing with other children, singing and dancing. For the past year he was a member of City of Edinburg and McAllen baseball little league; after practice his favorite place to eat was McDonalds he loved his Happy Meals. His favorite plushie was Catnap and Five Nights at Freddy. His beautiful smile and unique charisma is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gerardo Acosta. Armany is survived by his loving parents, Jasmine Perez and Stevan (Yulissa) Acosta; his two siblings, Galilea Amorette Acosta, GianLuca Azul Acosta; maternal grandparents, Raquel and Carlos Perez; paternal grandmother, Felicitas Barbosa; and extended numerous family members. Visitation will be held from 5 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 to 8 am on Thursday, February 8, 2024, and resume at 1 pm for an all night visitation until Friday, February 9, 2024, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
