Ralph was born October 12, 1946, in Clifton, Texas to Dr. George W. Collins and Pearl (Ellingson) Collins. After graduating from Baylor University in 1969, he spent his career at Deloitte \u0026amp; Touche and Henry S. Miller. He was a resident of Dallas, Texas for the past 54 years. He was a diligent follower of the financial markets; a pragmatic thinker; a collector of memories, theories, and facts; a scholar of the business world and the world around him; a trusted advisor; and a loyal and faithful friend. He was a gentleman, always dressed to impress whether he was playing golf at the DAC (loyal member of 33 years), dining at Sevy's or cheering on his beloved Baylor Bears. He was a man of many thoughts (and sometimes many words), always willing to share his insight, knowledge, expertise, and experiences. He enjoyed travelling and learning about new places, a lively debate with a worthy adversary (which he typically won), and spending time with family. Despite being a serious man and a force to be reckoned with, he was generous, forgiving, kind and eternally optimistic. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Claudia (Hafer) Collins, his children: son Bryan C. Collins and his wife Alicia, and daughter Julia (Collins) VanBuskirk and her husband Edward, his grandchildren: Will, Sam, Lila and Amelia, and his two siblings: Kathy (Collins) Denton and George W. Collins III. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him. The entire Collins family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, friends and caregivers that have given their time, effort, and sympathy, and love over the past week. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 11th at 12:00PM (noon) at Restland Memorial Park-Wildwood Chapel.
