Altus, OK

Ruby Ann Flood Doner, longtime resident of Victory, Oklahoma, left her Earthy home to join the arms of the Lord on September 7, 2023, at the age of fifty-three. We know the first words she heard were well done my good and faithful servant. On September 16, 1969, Lorenzo and Eufemia (Martinez) Espinosa rejoiced at the birth of their daughter Ruby Ann Espinosa in Clinton, Oklahoma. She was raised and educated in Altus, Oklahoma. Ruby met Richard Flood as a teenager, and they were united in marriage in May of 1988. The Flood family made their home in Victory, Oklahoma. They were blessed with six children, Richard, Jr. , Derek, Nicholas, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Stephen. Ruby was a homemaker who delighted in taking care of her children and later grandchildren. In 1994, Ruby received the gift of the Holy Ghost, from that day on she was devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was baptized at The United Pentecostal Church in Altus, Oklahoma. On April 24, 2009, Ruby's life was forever changed when a tragic car accident took the life of her husband Richard, and three youngest children, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Stephen. While most humans would crumble to a tragedy of this nature, Ruby's faith would only bring her closer to the Lord. She relied on her faith and devotion to prayer. She used this tragedy to help witness to others about the power of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ruby was a prayer warrior, a devoted friend, a faithful mother, and a grandmother. She lived her life in the personification of Proverbs thirty-one. In her free time, she enjoyed reading her bible, doing crafts, playing phase 10, and games with family, to say she enjoyed shopping would be a considerable understatement, she enjoyed collecting antiques, and classic cars. Ruby's central focus was her family. She was always trying to make sure every need was taken care of and cherished every second with her family. Ruby was a proud member of Living Waters United Pentecostal Church in Mangum, Oklahoma. She had a smile that was so contagious it turned the worst of moods right around. Ruby leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her family and Jesus. Ruby was received in heaven by her first husband, Richard Flood, her second husband, James Jim Doner, father, Lorenzo Espinosa, mother, Eufemia Espinosa; sons, Stephen Flood, Jeremiah Flood, Joshua Flood, brother, Peter Rosalez; sisters, Linda Espinosa, Nancy Espinosa, and Sophia Espinosa. Left to honor Ruby's memory are her sons, Richard A. Flood, Derek L. Flood and wife Briana, Nicholas H. Espinosa, and wife Katie; brothers, Luis Espinosa, Lorenzo Espinosa, Steve Espinosa, Felix Espinosa, Willie Espinosa; sisters, Norma Palmer, Jackie Cook, Carol Baldwin, Susan Espinosa, Elisha Sigety, Margaret Sliger, Christy Espinosa, Bernabe Irving, Sally Espinosa; six grandchildren, Andrew Flood, Abigal Flood, Jeremiah Flood, Adrianna Flood, Jaden Hand, Riot Espinosa; a special friend, Lionel Mounce; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and her church family.
