Ruben Martinez age 66, was a resident of Newburgh NY for over 42 years after coming to the states from Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. Ruben tragically passed away June 20, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. He is predeceased by his parents, older brother & sister, and his cousin (Carmen Lopez, Aquilino Martinez, Ruperto Medina, Daisy Medina, Ruperto Medina,Jr. )When Ruben was taken from this earth he left behind his wife, 'Felicita Vazquez' three children, Ruperto, Aulix, and Ruben Martinez. His eight grandchildren, Ariel, Ezabella, Jocelyn, Elijah, Jason, Omar, Emilio, and baby Anaya. Also leaving behind his one and only great grandchild Envii Martinez. As well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and ones who became family. He was well known and very loved by his community. Ruben loved to go fishing, walk the train tracks to get berries, play softball, and sit outside his home smoking a cigar, but he especially loved the quality time he spent with his loved ones. The memories he made will be cherished in our hearts forever. . Ruben, also known as "papa" will be missed dearly, holding a special place in our hearts. May you rest in peace papa.
