Rosina Mancini May 15, 1929 – September 8, 2023 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosina Mancini at the age of 94. She is reunited with her beloved husband Fileno. Cherished mother of Vilma, Mary and Peter. Dear grandmother of Margherita, Amanda and Christian. Dear great grandmother of Mattia, Melissa, Allegra and Christian. Rosina will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Friends and relatives are welcomed to the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Street, south of Lawrence Avenue W. ) on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p. m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Avenue W. , at Dufferin Street) on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 10:00 a. m. Rosina will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge St. , south of Highway 7). In memory of Rosina, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Cheryl Dianne Bray December 11, 1949 - November 27, 2023 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Cheryl Dianne Bray on Monday, November 27, 2023, a few weeks before her 74th birthday. Loving mother of Ryan (Kathy) and Gavin. Cherished grandmother of Nolan, Megan, Harper and Sarah. Predeceased by her father Alex Nadeau, mother Lena Nadeau (nee Moore) and brother Bill Nadeau. Cheryl was born in Haileybury, Ontario and grew up in Cobalt. She relocated to the Greater Sudbury Area and lived in Coniston, Garson and Sudbury while working and raising a family. Cheryl moved to Toronto in 1998. She enjoyed a long and rewarding career in the medical field as a nurse, medical secretary and dicta-typist and retired in 2010. Following her retirement, Cheryl remained dedicated to her profession and continued to work as a medical secretary. Cheryl was highly independent and remained so throughout her life. Regardless of where she was or what she was doing, Cheryl was very loving and dedicated to her family. Cheryl was an avid reader and a great cook. She enjoyed music, arts and crafts, the beauty and wonder of nature and experiencing different cultures. Cheryl will be fondly remembered for her strength, courage, resilience and spirit when faced with any challenge. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the University Health Network, the Baycrest Centre, and especially the O'Neill Centre in Toronto for their support and caring for Cheryl in her final years.Show more

Delphine "Del" Cartagenise May 2, 1934 - November 27, 2023 Our precious mother, Delphine "Del" Cartagenise, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, November 27, 2023 in her 89th year. Del lived a life dedicated to selflessness and compassion that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Del is reunited with the love of her life, Raymond, with whom she spent 46 wonderful years. She is also reunited with her brother, Johnny, as well as her parents Joe and Pauline. She leaves behind her cherished children, Linda (Peter) and Neil (Catherine), who find solace in countless memories shared with their devoted mother. Del also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter Sydney, whose life will forever be shaped by the love of her doting grandmother. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Patricia. Del's memory will forever be cherished by those who remember her as the most loving and giving person imaginable. Her unwavering generosity knew no bounds - Del would give everything she had to anyone who asked without hesitation. Never once did anger consume her, instead, she radiated warmth and understanding in every interaction. In her free time, Del delighted in playing cards, bingo, and had a fondness for going to horse races. She also enjoyed gardening, which allowed her to be outside whenever she wanted. During her younger years, loved to go dancing alongside her beloved husband Raymond. She had a deep appreciation for music, with a particular fondness for old country tunes and Elvis Presley. Del also went on many exciting journeys to Las Vegas with both Raymond and her dear friends Camille and Doug (predeceased). The Cartagenise Family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to the personal support workers, and nurses at Bayshore, and the Credit Valley palliative home care team. A special thank you to the nurses, doctors, personal support workers, and volunteers at Hospice Vaughan for the wonderful care Del received and the comfort provided to her and her family in her last days. Olive Fern Wilby May 23, 1922 - November 28, 2023 After a long life, well lived in service and generosity of others, Olive Fern Wilby (nee McLachrie) passed away at the age of 101. Loving wife of the late Alfred William Wilby for 50 years. Dear mother of Cheryl Whitworth and her husband Ted, and Dan Wilby and his late wife Janet. Grandma of Sherri, Jamie, and Katelyn, great-grandma to Logan. She is predeceased by her sisters Gwen Gilroy and Joyce Beggs and survived by her sister Margaret Cote and brother George McLachrie. Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Road, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 3:00-7:00pm. The funeral service will take place at the Weston Chapel on Wednesday, December 6th at 10:30am followed by the interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
