Rosemary T. (Burke) Washuta, 103, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Chelsea at Brookfield, Belvidere, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, September 15, 2023 at St. Patrick R. C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in the Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood, PA. Rosemary was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, John Washuta, who died on January 6, 2015. Surviving are two sons, John and his wife Diane, and Ed and his wife Leslie; four grandchildren, Ben and his wife Jill, Natalie, Elissa and her husband Wes, and Nate and his wife Jen; three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rosemary's memory to the charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of Chelsea and Ennoble Hospice for their tender loving care and kindness given to Rosemary.

Rose Wilma Lightcap entered her eternal home in the Kingdom of her Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 18, 2023 surrounded by her beloved daughter Sheila and her much loved son-in-law Bob. Rose was a gentle, compassionate and caring person. This was evident in the way she led her life. She touched many people along the way with her kindness and generosity. Rose was born to Susie and Szandor Levay in Holden, W. V. on February 23, 1925. Her family moved to Oxford, NJ when Rose was a child and then to a farm in Harmony Township. She lived in Harmony Township for the rest of her years. Rose's family operated a dairy farm but also raised chickens, pigs and goats. Rose was especially fond of the goats. Rose worked hard on the farm along with her parents and siblings. Every morning she and her brother had to milk cows and take the milk by horse and wagon to deliver it to the Hartung's farm before they went to school. She graduated from Belvidere High School in 1943. Rose married Isaac Lightcap on June 22, 1947. They had two daughters, Sandra and Sheila. Rose and Ike were married for 39 years. Rose and Ike loved their daughters dearly and would do anything for them. Rose was also blessed with two grandchildren, Kyle and Kirsten and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished. Rose was a hard worker all her life. She was employed by Magnetic Windings, Grant's Department Store, and IMCO Container Company where she had worked for many years. She first started as a machine operator and progressed to the decorating department and as a quality control inspector. Later she became a shipping supervisor and was one of only a few women who operated the forklift. After retiring she volunteered and then was employed by Manpower, working at the Warren County Nutrition Centers in Phillipsburg and Knowlton. She retired from the Nutrition Centers several years ago, but the started participating in the Simple Quilts program at the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere. She enjoyed this immensely and made very good friends with Ann Rogers, Ginny Frank, and her "partner in crime", Judy Morris. Rose loved her flowers and gardening. She was forever outside planting different types of flowers and trees and spent countless hours weeding the gardens. She loved animals and there were always dogs and cats at her home. In her elder years her dogs Tiny and Rusty provided her with much love and companionship. Rose love to travel. She made trips to the Canadian Rockies, Jerusalem and Egypt where she rode a camel. She also visited France and Alaska and other places within the United States. Rose was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere and the Order of the Eastern Star, Warren Chapter where she served as both an officer and Worthy Matron. For the last several years, Rose was cared for in her home by her daughter Sheila and son-in-law Bob. She also had a sweet and loving caregiver, Judy Melcher, whom she loved and shared many stories of her childhood. Rose is survived by her daughter, Sandra Beamsderfer and her husband Steve of Sunrise, FL; her daughter, Sheila Valentine and her husband Bob of Harmony Twp. , NJ; grandson, Kyle Beamsderfer and his wife Rebecca of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Kirsten Pelosi and her husband Nick of Sunrise, FL; sister, Barbara Wright of Charleston, WV; many nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac; sister, Emma Dagostine; and brother, Alex Levi. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday. Michael A. Tirabassi passed from this life unexpectedly, but peacefully, on November 13, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was 79. Mike is survived by his wife Gail Parzanese Tirabassi and their children: Michael Tirabassi and his wife, Rebecca; Matthew Tirabassi and his wife, Liann; Mark Tirabassi; and Geoffrey Tirabassi and his wife, Danielle. He also leaves his grandchildren Grace, Sophie, Mia, Geoffrey, Giuliana, Michael, Sawyer, Alex, Nate and Isabella; as well as his brother Ben and his wife Barbara. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Panfilo Tirabassi. Mike was born on February 26, 1944, in the Bronx, New York Mike married Gail Parzanese on August 13, 1967. Mike was a devoted family man who loved his children more than life itself. He graduated from Stevens Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey. Mike enjoyed life on the water. He truly loved sailing and spent most of his free time cruising around the bay on his boat with his beloved Gail and his sons. On many occasions he would take his grandchildren to Tices Shoal to swim and enjoy a day in the sun. He also loved watching the Lawrence Welk Show, history, action movies and watching his grandchildren swim in the pool. He will be remembered as a practical problem solver, a pillar of strength, a person who made the best of situations, and a wonderful loving father, husband, and Pop Pop. Calling/viewing hours will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and Monday, November 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ. Donna Marie Hammargren, 92, of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Donna was born at home on January 25, 1931, in Uniontown, PA to the late Donald and Marie Leighty. Donna graduated from Brownsville High School and then went on to the Pittsburgh School of Nursing in 1950. After graduating, she worked as an RN at Pittsburgh Hospital for 3 years. In 1953 she moved to New Jersey where she worked at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She married Bror Hammargren in 1956 and raised their three daughters in Florham Park. While raising her family she worked at Fairleigh Dickinson University as a nurse for 26 years. She was among the first class of graduates from the New Jersey College Nursing Certification Program. Her career spanned more than 45 years until her retirement in 1996. While living in Florham Park she was a member of the Board of Elections, the Republican Club and a volunteer for the Red Cross. After her retirement Donna moved to Belvidere, NJ where she made new friends in the Brookfield Community. She was involved in the Brookfield Activities Committee and was a member of the Red Hats. Donna was predeceased by her daughter, Linda, in 1966 and her loving husband, Bror Hammargren, in 1987. Donna was a loving mother to her daughters, Karen Artigliere and her husband Leonard and Susan Lofredo and her husband Richard, a cherished grandmother to three grandchildren, Matt Artigliere, Carolyn Lofredo and Elizabeth Lofredo and a loving aunt to nieces Arleen Yoest, Donna Henderson and Dee Miller. Alfred was married to his beloved wife, Rita Giombetti (Russin), for 75 remarkable years. Together, they created a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is survived by his wife Rita, his children Alfred "Fred" Giombetti and Carol Specht, his son-in-law, Ron Specht, and his sister Janet Carr. Alfred's life was enriched by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Sarah, her husband Matt, and their four boys, Tyler, Brandon, Aidan and Conner. Affectionately known as "Pop" to his family, he was a constant source of wisdom, support, and joy to all who knew him. An avid Penn State fan, Alfred's love for the Nittany Lions was infectious and brought the family together for countless game days and tailgates. His unwavering loyalty and passion will forever live on through the generations of family members who share his enthusiasm for his favorite team. Alfred's life was a testament to the power of love and family, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His wit, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who carry on his legacy. Wendy L. Erdie, 64, of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023 at St Luke's Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Wendy was born on April 4, 1959 in Flemington, NJ to the late Nelson and Clela "Bloom" Trimmer Sr. She grew up in Washington, NJ and attended Warren Hills High School. Wendy was employed in Food Service for Hagedorn Hospital in Glen Gardner for many years before her retirement in 2012. She married her loving husband Mark Erdie in 2013. Wendy loved her cats. She enjoyed collecting rustic decor and antiques for her home. She also loved the fall and winter seasons along with mums, pumpkins and snowmen. She adored her family and cherished time spent with them, especially her grandson, Bradley. In addition to her husband Mark, Wendy is survived by her children, Joshua Trimmer & his wife Dayna, Rachel Benedek, Lindsay Gyorfi & her husband Chad; siblings, Randy Hampton, Clela Davie & her husband Bob, Carol DeMott & her husband David and Nelson Trimmer Jr. ; many nieces and nephews; her grandchildren, Bradley and Riley Gyorfi and her cats, Toby, Bella, Dexter and Emma. Christopher S. Yeager passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the age of 71. Chris was born in Allentown, PA in 1952 as the middle son of Edwin and Barbara (Paul) Yeager. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Susanne; a son, Matthew; two grandsons, Trevor and Liam; two brothers, Tom and Dave. Chris devoted his life work to public education and rising through the ranks from teacher, principal and Superintendent. After graduating from William Allen High School in Allentown, Chris enrolled at East Stroudsburg University earning bachelor and master's in education degrees. After graduation, Chris taught in the Allentown Public Schools. As a principal, he created Pennsylvania's first Year-Round education program at Central Elementary in Allentown. He was twice nominated for the Disney Outstanding Educator Award and was the founding president and director of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals. Chris continued to serve ESU including nine years on the Alumni Board of Directors, nine years as Secretary of the Foundation Board and Chair of the Grants and Scholarship Committee. He also served as a Board Member for Beta Psi Housing Association for many years. Chris was named recipient of ESU's 2023 Alumni Association Excellence Award. Chris' extensive community volunteering history included 47 years with Good Will Fire Company No. 1, Belvidere, NJ where he served as President, Secretary and Assistant Foreman. A member of several Masonic organizations, he was a member of Rajah Shrine and Forks of the Delaware Tin Lizzies. Chris was also a member of the Valley of Allentown Consistory. Chris was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Belvidere acting as Past Commander and Steward. When wintering in Florida, he often volunteered at local elementary schools tutoring students and assisting teachers in kindergarten, first and second grades.
