Burlington, ON

FARKAS, Rose Stewart, (nee McNeil) In her 89th year, passed peacefully at home on September 9th, in Burlington. Beloved wife of Frank (deceased 1995), dear mother of Michael (Marie) and Andrew (Leanne) Farkas. Dear Nanny of Justin (Jennifer), Damian, Hayden, Brycen, Preston and fondly remembered by Teagan, her many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren Max and Jack Farkas. Sister of Nettie (Jakob), Diana (Bernd) and Shirley (Earlen), predeceased by sisters Helen (Harry), Louisa (Lloyd) and Mae (Merrold). Rose will now embark on her reunion journey where she can famously offer her unfiltered and unsolicited opinions and/or criticisms to previously passed family, friends and other random unsuspecting souls. Rose ordered her family not to have a funeral or celebration of life because she didn't want to give anyone an opportunity to sit around getting all half-soused, tanked up and 3 sheets to the wind to talk about her. Like we didn't do that already. We love you Mom! Look out Dad, here she comes!

Peacefully on December 1, 2023, in his 60th year surrounded by his adoring family after a lengthy, courageous battle with Leukemia. Predeceased by his father, Rocco Martini (1988) and his mother Irma Martini (2022). The most loyal, devoted, and caring husband to Lisa Martini. Adored and loved, the best Pappy to grandchildren Victoria and Eva (Natalie), and Jayrome and Lorenzo (Leah). The best big brother to Rosella Sorce (Pat). Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many relatives and extended family in Canada and Italy. Luigi was a great man. His love for his family and friends was immeasurable. Those who knew him know that he was special. In the Summer on Sundays, you could find him on the golf course, and when it was football season, you could find him cheering on the Bears. His love for fishing will be carried on through his children and grandchildren. The legacy he leaves behind is comparable to no other.
