Mary Choss

Mary Choss

Age - 58

November 30, 2023

We announce with immeasurable sadness that Mary Beth Choss passed away on Friday, November 24 . Mary was 58 years young. Mary is survived by her husband, Joe; their son, Joe; her siblings: brother, Butch Harrell (Randi); sister-in-law, Beverly Harrell (widow of Larry); sister, Lynn Jasewic (Bruce); sister, Vicky Hoffmann (Dan); brother, Robin Harrell (Lisa); sister, Teresa Powell (Howard Hall); sister, Lisa Craig; and sister, Susan Sorensen. She is predeceased by her parents (Sara & Frank Harrell), and her brothers, Larry and Dewey Harrell. Mary is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. Mary was born and raised in Orlando. She was very proud to be a true FLO-GROWN!! Mary was a professional in the insurance industry, most prominently as a Senior Underwriter for non-profit insurance companies. As the "baby" of 10 children born to Sara & Frank Harrell, Mary stole everyone's heart from the very beginning with her precious face and white-blond hair. She was the original Kewpie doll/Gerber baby. As the youngest child, she bore the brunt of torture from her nine older siblings. Amazingly, she was a good sport about this, mainly because her parents were tired of parenting and she could do no wrong. Life got even better for Mary when she met the love of her life, Joe Choss. Mary and Joe quickly fell in love and their precious son, Joe, was born. They say the greatest love of all is the love for your child, and this was certainly the case with Mary and Joe for their son, Joe. Their family unit of 3 was as wonderful and close as could be. Mary and Joe worked hard professionally and as parents to help mold Joe into the funny, thoughtful, and wonderful young man he is today. Mary loved each and every holiday. Oh, how she loved to decorate for each holiday, especially Halloween and Christmas. The Choss Halloween parties were legendary, especially when son Joe was growing up, well, probably even into his mid 20's. He and his friends would be "scareactors" for the neighborhood kids. Many, many wonderful parties happened at the Choss household. Mary was such a funny, kind, loving, beautiful and thoughtful person. Mary had a wicked sense of humor and laugh that were phenomenal and contagious! She was also a master of limericks and joke/story telling. Mary loved animals, especially cats. She loved and spoiled her current dog, Lulu, and cats, Max, and Bella. Mary always thought of others before she thought of herself. She was the ultimate wife, mother, sister, friend, neighbor, and co-worker. This world has genuinely lost the best of the best. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Friday, December 8, from noon - 2 pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 1654 N Semoran Blvd. , Orlando, 32807. Please come and share a story about Mary with us. Mary loved the color pink - if desired, please wear pink! In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to a charity of your choice - one near and dear to Mary's heart is Pet Rescue by Judy: . Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society is honored to care for Mrs. Choss and her family at this time. Those wishing to share a memory or light a virtual candle in her memory are encouraged to do so on her memorial page.Show more
