Rose Carnline Obituary

| | | A Celebration of Life, age 86, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00 p. m. , Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be from 1:00 p. m. until time of service at the funeral home. Rose passed away on May 7, 2023 at Stone Creek Nursing and Rehab in San Augustine, Texas. A native of Alto, Texas and longtime resident of Jasper, Texas (since 1965), Rose was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. She married the love of her life, D. W. Marlin Carnline on May 15, 1951 in Cherokee County, Texas. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in the yard, watching birds and raising her roses. Her most precious moments were the times that she spent with her family. Rose is survived by her daughters, Sherryll Rule and husband Tim of San Augustine, Texas and Cathy Chaney and husband Curtis Horn of Jasper, Texas; sons, Johnny Carnline and wife Carol of Jasper, Texas and Larry Carnline and wife Stacy of Jasper, Texas; sister, Bernice Olene Farmer of Kirbyville, Texas; eleven grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen (Ollie) and Roxie Lou Goff; husband, D. W. Marlin Carnline; daughter, Linda Carol Cheek and husband John Cheek; granddaughters, Brandy Carnline, Carrie Jo Orozco, Chelsea Chaney Procell and husband Skylar, Kelly Denise Wiseman and Shana Tidwell Chaney. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
