Rosa Almendarez Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Rosa Munoz Almendarez, a resident of Sunnyvale, California for 75 years, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters, Angelina and Patricia, and family by her side on May 1, 2023 at the age of 94 years old. Rosa was born in Los Angeles, California on March 12, 1929, daughter of the late Pantaleon and Severa Santoyo Rogue-Munoz. The family moved to Wasco, California and settled there, where Rosa went to school. Rosa was the last of her generation and is preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Aurelio, Alex, Paul, Julio, and Manuel. She also reunites with her two sons, Pete and Louie Almendarez; and two grandsons, Peter and Michael Almendarez. Rosa retired from Libby Cannery, in Sunnyvale, California after approximately 30 years of service and she worked at The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose, California for 10 years. Rosa was a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers, she loved collecting elephant figurines, and absolutely enjoyed putting together Jigsaw puzzles. When she finished putting a puzzle together, she always said with joy "I did it!!!" then laughed. Rosa is survived by her daughters, Angelina T. Nau (Warren), and Patricia Morrison (Tim); as well as daughters-in-law, Susan Almendarez and Evelyn Almendarez. Rosa was loved and cherished by many people including: 12 Grandchildren, Louis Anthony Almendarez, Sara English (Teddy), Jeremy Almendarez (Sara), Jeffrey Almendarez (Claudia), Anna Criss (Josh), Warren Steven Nau (Kristine), Erick Nau (Stefani), Monica Escalante (Luis), Jennifer Posada (Yonder), and Anthony Almendarez (Mario); 24 Great-Grandchildren, 13 Great-Great-Grandchildren and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
