June 11, 1935 - October 5, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie Hall, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born in Liverpool, England, Ronnie's journey of life was marked by resilience, hard work, and unending love. A cherished husband to Shirley Florence Hall (nee Dubecki) for 58 wonderful years, Ronnie's commitment and affection knew no bounds. He was a pillar of strength and a beacon of love to his daughters, Deborah Alanna Hall-Chancey and Tracy Belinda Valko. The title of 'Papa' was one he wore with immense pride, doting on his grandchildren, Brendan, Colton, Meghan, and Cruz. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Isabella and Luke Hall, and his brother, Thomas Carrick. From the bustling streets of Liverpool to the vast expanse of Canada, Ronnie's professional journey was as remarkable as his personal one. Beginning his career as a Grey Hound Bus Driver in Winnipeg after relocating from England at the age of 21, he soon ventured into the world of banking. From starting out as an assistant accountant at Scotiabank, Ronnie's dedication and tenacity led him to the role of credit inspector in1966. His leadership skills shone brightly when he opened the first branch as manager in Morrisburg, ON, later taking on the role of Director of Audit with Continental Bank. Not one to settle into the quiet life, Ronnie embraced his passion for service by working for 25 years at the Home Depot in Brampton as a full-time sales associate in plumbing, where he was always known for his well-dressed attire and known as "Rockin Ronnie" with his dry English humour and accent. He celebrated his second retirement at the tender age of 80. Outside of work, Ronnie's passions were diverse and deeply personal. From his beautifully manicured garden to the delicious aromas of his barbecue, from the intricacies of his stamp collection to his knowledge of historical events, he was a man of many talents and interests. A competitive spirit, Ronnie's younger years saw him as an award-winning curler. And any given day, you'd find him, eyes glued to the screen, cheering for his favorite English soccer teams. Ronnie's legacy is not just in the work he did or the hobbies he pursued, but in the hearts he touched, the memories he created, and the family that will remember and cherish him forever. Rest in peace, Ronnie. Your journey on this earth was nothing short of remarkable. Your memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Services will be held privately at the family's request.
