Peter Nicholas Svarkonis, was born on May 2, 1954 and passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 68. He is survived by his daughter, Alicia (Phil) Saso, his grandchildren, Sophia and Sienna, his sister, Betty, his nephew, Christopher, his ex-wife Kathy, as well as many loving cousins and loyal friends. He was predeceased by his wife Tish Svarkonis. Peter was a graduate of Morton West High School and was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. He enjoyed playing golf and baseball in his earlier days and was still an avid sports fan, pool player and a big Guns 'N Rose's fan. Peter, or "Pete the Greek", a nickname given by his friends, will be remembered as a genuinely nice, kind hearted guy who could always make someone laugh. His daughter Alicia will always remember the fun days as a child with him playing miniature golf and bowling, visiting many local parks, investing many hours of non-stop Nintendo playing, learning how to play Rummy 500, doing at-home scavenger hunts and so much more. As an adult, Alicia cherished the time her dad spent with her and his grandchildren, Sophia and Sienna. Peter meant so much to all of his friends and family and will be deeply missed by all. Robert "Bobby" M. Beavers, IV It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Thomas a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He was a man of humble beginnings who worked tirelessly to achieve success in his life. One of the things that defined Joe was his deep and unwavering love for his family, especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. He would regale them with stories of his youth, impart words of wisdom, and shower them with affection. To him, there was nothing more important than family, and he worked tirelessly to ensure that we were all taken care of. Joe was a master at karate, enjoyed weightlifting, going to the casino, playing the slots or poker with his family. He spent hours tirelessly landscaping his home for Teri's enjoyment, his wife of 63 years. Professional he found his success with his electronics businesses and country-western apparel business, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and love for business. Known as, Hardtimes, Joe's generosity and contributions were a testament to what a great man he was. He was a hard worker who always spoke his mind, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a heart of gold and was known to be a super strong, smart, and capable man who could fix anything and find a solution for the impossible. Joe was a straight shooter who never hesitated to speak his mind, even if his opinions were controversial or offensive, and they often were! But he was also tough as nails, with a good sense of humor and a sharp intellect that made him "our" joy to be around. Our only comfort is that Joe will be at peace with his granddaughter, Sterling that preceded him in death. Visitation will be held on Friday April 21st from 10AM until time of service at 2PM at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, Il. All services will conclude at the funeral home.
