Ronald J. Orecchio passed away peacefully at his home on September 7th, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends. Born in the Bronx to Joseph & Florence Orecchio, he later moved to Orangeburg and graduated from Albertus Magnus High School. Ron had successful career in the IT industry, was a small business owner and later worked for Westrock Pools. He will be remembered for his immense love of family, friends and a good party. He is survived by his sister Lauren Orecchio, ex wife & friend Nancy, children Gina, Nicole (Brian), Joey (Nicki), his seven grandchildren (Charlie, Andrew, Hannah, Ashley, John, Tommy & Kevin), his nephews Chris & Doug, his nieces Diane, Cindy, Charlene, Christie, Courtney & Haven, great nieces and nephews and his many close friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14th, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 15th, 2023 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery. in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland in Ron's memory.

James (Jimmy) Hanney of Garnerville, NY, 69 years old, passed away peacefully on November 20,2023. James was a lifelong resident of Rockland County. He was born on February 8,1954, to Howard and Anne Hanney. He graduated from Clarkstown South in 1972. He later went on to attend Hobart School of Welding in Ohio. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and lover of the outdoors. His greatest joys came from his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Erinn Hanney (Sandy) and Meaghan Caldera (Ray). He is also survived by his sister Lynn Bender, along with his six grandchildren, Xia, Devin, Emma, Callie Layla, and Dylan. In addition, he is survived by his niece Stacey and nephews Michael and Christopher. Jimmy was predeceased by his loving wife, Debbie as well his parents Howard and Anne Hanney and brother Brian Hanney. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. With heaven in view, Sallyann Feyen Colistra left this life on November 15th, 2023. Her dear husband Anthony and daughter Christina were by her side with her supporting family all nearby. Sally was a lifelong Rockland County resident, born in Nanuet and living most of her adult life in Stony Point a few blocks from her beloved twin Suzann Feyen Sullivan. She was a devout Catholic and her beliefs informed every area of her life. From the time she was a young woman Sally valiantly battled cancer on three separate occasions and those who knew her admired her heroic resolve to fight the disease and also to help those who similarly struggled. Sally had a successful career in retail before giving up that pursuit to spend more time with her family. She was a talented crafter, a great dancer and a lover of country music. She was beloved and leaves behind, in addition to Anthony and Christina, her siblings William Feyen, Victoria Saunders and Suzann Sullivan (Dan), sister in law Maria Rosada (Jerry) and nieces and nephews who would all assure you that they were her favorite (and they would be right). Her family and precious friends stood by her in her last battle and looked forward to her complete healing in heaven. George Behn

Age - 90

George T. Behn, Sr. , 90, of Garnerville, NY, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on October 26, 2023. He was born in 1933 to Regis (O'Keefe) and George H. Behn, and was a life-long resident of Garnerville, having lived his entire life in the house his parents purchased in 1926. George graduated from Haverstraw High School in 1953, where he met his wife of 65 years, Brigida Spicci. They married in 1958 after he finished his duty with the US Navy, where he served as a SeaBee assigned to the construction of the base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He worked in construction for 40 years and was a Master Carpenter with Carpenter's Union Local 964 until his retirement in 1995. He played semi-pro baseball with the Holy Name Society as a young man, and was also an avid hunter and fisherman, who liked to say he was a Conservationist before Environmentalists existed. In retirement, he kept himself busy with household projects as well as being an expert gardener. In addition to his wife, Brigida, George is survived by his six children, Laura (Robert) Sappio of Allendale, NJ, Mary (Richard) Selkow of Lake George, Joan (Michael) Caruso of Mahopac, George, Jr. (Fran) of Garnerville, Helen Behn of South Lake Tahoe, CA, Nancy (Jeff) Conklin of Stony Point; his 11 grandchildren: George Behn, III, Jeffrey (Meaghan) Conklin, Nicholas (Alice Plante) Conklin, LT Michael Sappio, USN, Alex (Mike Miller) Behn, Benjamin (Kelly O'Connor) Sappio, Emily, nee Behn, (Vincent) Martorelli, Thomas Caruso, Bodin Schwartz, Catherine Behn, Gunnar Schwartz; and his brand new great-granddaughter Ella Francesca Martorelli. Visitation will be held Monday, October 30 and Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 5-8 pm, at T. J. McGowan & Sons, 71 North Central Highway, Garnerville, NY.
