Ronald Huggins Obituary

Huggins, Ronald Bruce better know as "Huggy" of Detroit passed away on October 6, 2023 at the age of 70. He leaves behind his sons, Raymond Huggins and Ryan Huggins and his ex-wife Regina Thomas whom he was married to for 25 years. Ronald is the loving brother to Claudette Morris, Patricia Huggins and Warren (Carmeleta) Huggins. He is the devoted grandfather to Jasmine, Aliyah, Halaya, Josiah and Myaire. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Blanche Huggins and a brother Robert. Ronald loved music and he wrote and sang gospel songs. In fact his songs have been recorded. Ronald was a Deacon at his church for many years. He is the author of two books and was currently working on a 3rd. He likes writing and poetry. Ronald ran track and was very proud of the record he set on the 100 yard dash which had not been broken. He loved nature and going for walks. Ronald is a true "Detroiter". He graduated from U of D Mercy with a degree in accounting and worked for the railroad in the accounting department. He was an advocate for Medicare and Medicaid to help his clients obtain what they need. Ronald left his mark on the hearts of many and will be missed by all who knew him.
