, 75 of Nashport, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 23, 2023, at Genesis Hospital. Ronald Frederick Denny; Loving husband, proud father, loyal brother, and caring son born on June 27, 1947, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Jack Denny and Mildred Denny. He was an entrepreneur, a proud veteran, and a friend to all that he met along the way. He passed as he had lived, surrounded by people that he loved and who also loved him. Ronald was the youngest child amongst three brothers, Jack, Ronald, and Robert. He was an athlete in his youth at West Muskingum High School, playing basketball to take advantage of his heightened stature. He was a graduate in the class of 1966. After High school Ronald served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. While stationed in Washington DC he met his future wife and mother of all of his loving children, Marilyn Ann. After Marilyn's passing in 2001 Ron found a second chance at love with a lifelong friend, Nancy. Ron ventured in several areas of profession including Sales, Automotive Repair, Advertising Distribution, and even some time with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Park division. Ronald was a member of the Zanesville Eagles 302 and the American Legion post 29. Ron leaves behind his wife of 12 years, Nancy (Tignor) Denny; daughters, Margy (Mike) and Jacqueline (Frank); sons, Michael, Matthew (Tina); step-sons, Thomas Adams; grandchildren, Mike, Aubrey, Bailey, Carter, Faith, Owen, Tessa, Madison, Allison, A. J. Cyndi, Ashley; 9 great- grandchildren; good friends, Jessie and Bev Stouder; sister-in-laws, Cecelia Beaudin and Martha Moody; brother-in-laws, Jerry Beaudin and George Wallace; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Denny; brothers, Jack Denny, Robert "Bob" Denny; and stepson, David Main. Calling hours will be held on Friday April 28, 2023, from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM and 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 28, 2023, at 7:00 PM. Full military honors will be presented by The United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058. Per Ron's wishes a dignified cremation will take place following services. He will later be laid to rest at Irville Cemetery next to his first wife, Marilyn Denny.
