Ronald E. Buchholz, age 77, of Council Bluffs, passed away April 25, 2019 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Ron was born June 5, 1941 in Avoca, Nebraska to the late Edward and Margaret (Childers) Buchholz. He graduated from Nebraska City, Nebraska High School in 1958 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ron married Linda Miller on June 21, 1973 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. He was a route driver for Meadow Gold Dairy for 11 years and a truck driver for ABF Trucking for 16 years, retiring in 2006. Ron was a member of Southside Christian Church and the American Legion Post #2. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two sons, James David "JD" Buchholz in 2016, Jeff Buchholz in 2018; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Ron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Buchholz of Council Bluffs; son, Scott (Terri) Buchholz of Papillion, Nebraska; daughter, Veronica Trejo of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Val Buchholz of Omaha; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl (Jean) Crook of Bellevue, Nebraska, John (Maureen) Kiesel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
