Steve Robert Johnstone entered into rest February 15, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Elaine Johnstone, three children Tina (Dan) Wirth, Steven (Sarah) Johnstone, Craig (Ellyse) Johnstone; six grandchildren Paige, Collin and Shane Wirth, Rowan Johnstone, Mariah and Lillian Johnstone; his father Samuel Johnstone; four brothers Samuel, Timothy, Christopher and James Johnstone; many nieces, nephews and friends. Steve spent most of his career in the printing industry but also dabbled in carpentry. He loved fishing, football and adored his grandchildren.Visitation will be held Saturday, February 24th in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, New York.     Ashord Harutjunian, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 10, 1954 he was the son of the late Kamas and Emma (Drex) Harutjunian.    Ashord entered the United States Army on June 27, 1975. He served his country for 18 years in the regular Army, Army reserves and eventually was honorably discharged from the NYS Army National Guard as a SP4 on April 4, 1993. He enjoyed going fishing and going to play poker at the casino.    He is survived by four daughters, Quinn (Mark) Putaski, Jamie Vigue, Patti (Don) Scalise and Bridget (Steve) Cox; son, Lindy Hartunian; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Eleanor (Jim) Bergeron; brother, Haigas (Jody) Harutjunian; Ex-wife, Michelle Nolan and cats, Jinx and Momos. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.    A Celebration of Ashord’s Life will be Tuesday, February 27th from 3-6PM at Lox Stock & Barrel, 2602 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY, where Military honors begin at 5:00 PM. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 4, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Watson and Ethel (Jagodzinski) Rybarczyk. Through the years, Dolores worked for Union Carbide, Nabisco and lastly at the Seneca Niagara Casino. Not only did she work for the casino, when she was not working, she enjoyed going to the casino.She is survived by her children; Lisa (Andrew) Klebaur and Jason Aughtmon; grandchildren, Christopher, Alexis, Andrew, Ryan, Noah, Evan, Iain, Owan, and Jonathan; great-grandchild, Logan; brother, James (Karen) Rybarczyk; Goddaughter, Michelle Tardibuono. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Tyrone Aughtmon; brother, William (Sharon) Rybarczyk, and Best Friend, Terry Bobby.There is NO PRIOR visitation. We are sad to announce Hattie Phelps, 80, of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away on February 16, 2024 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Hattie was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the late Amos and Johnnie Mae Sanders. Hattie was predeceased by her loving husband, Otis Phelps. Beloved mother of Michelle Phelps, David Phelps and Sean Phelps and his wife, Ami; dear sister of Linda Kay and Sylvia Leslie; loving grandmother to five grandchildren; and loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Cherished by many other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings Robert Sanders, Randy Sanders and Gloria Patton. Viewing will be on Wednesday, February 21st from 11am to 1pm at Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Margaret A. Diez, age 83, of Niagara Falls died Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Margaret was born January 27, 1941, in Niagara Falls, the daughter of the late Russell and Mildred (Freeman) Diez. She was a 1958 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School and received her Registered Nurse degree from the Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing. After a storied career as an RN, Margaret was the Supervisor of the Surgical Nurses at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for many years. She was the longtime companion of Edwin Price who predeceased her on June 20, 2021. She is survived by a sister, Nancy (Paul) Orsi of Youngstown, NY; a niece, Rebecca Orsi; a nephew, Jason (Christina) Orsi; other nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Elizabeth Ceretto and Edwin G. Price. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Lockhart and a brother, Ralph Dietz. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 23, at 11:00 am at North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria, NY with Rev. Robert Hagel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 56 708 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14303, or to Community Missions, Inc. 1570 Buffalo Ave. Niagara Falls, NY 14303.
