Roger Mathon Obituary

Roger A. Mathon, 79, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his home with his loving wife of 59 years by his side. Roger was born in Lewiston on July 9, 1943 to Ernest and Bernadette Mathon. Roger loved to play cards, fish, camp, gamble at the casino and spend time with family and friends. Roger married Carmen Ferland on July 1, 1964. The two were each other's lifelong companions and friends. Roger worked at Hahnel Bros. and Bath Iron Works. Roger is survived by his wife Carmen, two sons Mike and wife Jackie, Jim and wife Mona, Sister Rita and husband Richard, Sister In law Aline, grandchildren Jessica and husband Jordan, Maegan and husband Dylan, Joe and wife Sarah, Jennifer and husband Kyle, Nick. Great grandchildren Haley, Morgan, Caleb, Connor, Bella, Sam, Penelope and Lucy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15th from 4PM to 6PM at The Fortin Group in Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 11AM at Holy Cross Church, followed by Committal Prayers at St. Peter's Cemetery.
