Mr. Danny Durell Russell, age 68, of Lewistown, MO passed away, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home in Lewistown.He was born October 25, 1955 in Independence, MO a son of James Theodore and Fern Rose Ross Russell.Danny was raised in Overland Park, KS and had worked for King Radio and later Bendix King for a number of years.He is survived by his sister Violet (Russell) Brownell of Maywood, MO, two brothers, Steve (Rita) Russell of Basehor, KS and John Russell of Olathe, KS; one nephew, Rusty Brownell of Maywood; three nieces, Christy (Jason) Yoder of Charity, MO, Pam Russell of Edwardsville, KS and Becca Horner of Flemington, MO and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew Mike Russell.Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with Rev. Russell Brownell officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Mrs. Lois Hinton, age 83, of Lewistown, MO passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. Lois was born January 6, 1940 to Raymond VanMeter and Elaine (Silvey) VanMeter in Kirksville, MO. She was united in marriage to David Bruce Hinton on December 28, 1958 in Canton, MO. Lois was a graduate of Lewistown High School and Gem City Business College in Quincy. She was employed as Secretary to the Superintendent of the Lewis County School District for many years. Before retirement she was employed by Heimer Construction of Taylor, MO. After Bruce was discharged from the Army, they moved to his family farm at Monticello, MO until his health failed in 2019. At that time they purchased a home in Lewistown. Lois attended Lewistown Baptist Church. She was very active with her children's activities while growing up with school, baseball, softball, 4-H and FFA. Lois enjoyed many Cardinals baseball games with Bruce and playing golf. Mom especially liked playing golf with the girls on Mondays; Taco Tuesdays with her family and friends; playing cards; and attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities. She was an MU Extension Master Knitter and loved to read. She enjoyed spending time with her large family and many friends. After retirement, Bruce and Lois enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and Hawaii, and summers on the farm. Survivors include daughter Vanessa Miller (Jim) of Kirksville, MO and son Richard D. (Sharon) Hinton of Canton, MO. She had four grandchildren that she loved dearly; Janna (Dustin) Ingram of Brookfield, MO, Justin Miller of Kirksville, MO, Clayton Hinton of Monticello, MO, Tyler Hinton of Canton, MO and Jason Miller of Pacific, MO. She also dearly loved her three great grandchildren Kyle Hinton, Allison Ingram and Lucas Ingram. Lois is also survived by her twin sister Louise Perkins of Cape Carteret, NC; brothers Mike (Jeanette) VanMeter and Roger (Janis) VanMeter of Lewistown, MO and sister Phyllis (Wes) Segawa of Hilo, Hawaii; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 62 years, Bruce, and brother-in-law Larry Perkins. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 3:00 p. m. at the Lewistown Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Stottlemyre officiating. Burial will be in Monticello Cemetery, Monticello, MO. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p. m. until time of services in the church. The family suggests memorials be made to Hadley's Hope. The daughter of Edward William and Eula Avis Newberry Lewis was born on December 14, 1933 at Monticello, Missouri. She was an avid reader and liked to travel and take care of her birds and cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her son Terry Lewis of Lewistown, Mo. ; a niece, Sonja (Joe) Johnson of La Grange, Mo. ; a nephew, Brian (Jana) Schnitzer of Lebanon, Mo. and several great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Betty Lou Lewis, Anna B. Howell and Sandra Sue (Harold) Schnitzer, brother, Bobby Ed Lewis, nephew, Bill Thompson and a brother-in-law, Hubert Thompson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Rusty Shultz officiating. Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery. Margie Ruth Webster, 87 of Lewistown, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at her home in Lewistown. The daughter of Charles and Goldie Billington Walker was born on September 2, 1935 at Kahoka, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Roderick D. Webster on June 7, 1953 at the home of Margie's parents in Luray, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2016. Margie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown and the W. M. U. She spent her time raising her children and grandchildren and enjoyed quilting and tending to her garden and flowers. She is survived by five children, Rosetta (Larry) Springer of Lubbock, Texas, Bruce (Georgia) Webster of Mesa, Arizona, Violet (Roger) Price of Easton, Mo. , Iris Schultz of Quincy, Il. and Holly (Dan) Dehner of New London, Mo. ; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leola Webster of New London, Mo. and Louise (Lloyd) Gordy of Granger, Mo. ; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rodney Webster, granddaughter, Lisa Schreck and two great-granddaughters, Alexanna Garcia and Regan Webster, two sisters, Dorothy Gordy and Beth Corum and two brothers, James and Bob Walker. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Hospice of Northeast Missouri or the Alzheimer's Association. The son of William and Elfriede Reynolds was born on February 27, 1950 at San Francisco, California. He had previously served on the Lewis County Fair Board and was a member of the Ten Mile 4-H Club. He loved animals, traveling and working with computers. He is survived by his long-time companion, Denise Fury of Lewistown, Mo. ; a daughter, Michelle Reynolds; two sons, Joseph Reynolds and Jason Reynolds; two grandsons that he helped raise, Logan and Clayton Covert; two sisters, Susan Wright and Patricia Bennett; and a brother, Dwayne Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents. There are no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements for cremation are with Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri.
