"Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean, age 65, of Hazel Green, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 18, 2024. Born on January 6, 1959, to Ralph and Eula Dean, he leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and unwavering faith. A devoted member of the Rocky Branch Holiness Church for the majority of his life, Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean continued his spiritual journey by becoming a member of Plevna Holiness Church when he and his family moved to the Hazel Green area. Music was a cornerstone of Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean\u0027s life, his voice and passion for music led him to sing with various groups for over 35 years, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the pleasure of listening. His generous spirit extended beyond the stage, as he donated a significant amount of his time to bring the uplifting power of music to the church. Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean is survived by his loving wife of almost 17 years, Kristin Dean; sons, Adam Dean (Jessica) and Tyler Dean (Angel); daughter, Rachel Buckner (Doug). His adoration for his grandchildren, Brentleigh Buckner, Brice Buckner, Brea Buckner, Clay Alita, and John Luke Dean, was immeasurable; mother, Eula Morrow Lang; brother, Benny Dean; honorary daughter, Alanna Lewis (Jared); honorary granddaughter, LeAnna Lewis. His memory will be forever cherished by a host of family and friends. Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean is preceded in death by his late wife, Joanna Dean; father, Ralph Dean; brother, Gary Dean; sister, Brenda Henderson. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Rev. James Bridges and Rev. Mitchell Holman will officiate the service. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 4:30 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers, including Jared Lewis, Darron Rice, Darryl Rice, Rodney Ragon, David Ragon, and Craig Warren, will assist in escorting Mr. Ralph Jerome Dean to his final resting place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, honoring a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, faith, and the beautiful harmony of music."

Calvin Gene Cox, 88, of Hazel Green, AL, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, February 22, 2024. Born in Atlanta, GA, Mr. Cox served in the US Air Force. He retired from the Huntsville Police Department after 16 years of service and was previously a motion picture film editor at Redstone Arsenal. Calvin loved to cook and spend time with his family. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Hazel Green, AL.He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Martha Shearin Cox. Survivors include son, Calvin Gene Cox Jr (Kimberly) of Madison; grandsons, Ryan Cox (MaryBeth), Andrew Cox, William Cox, and Benjamin Cox; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Adams (Jacob); nieces, Diane Richardson and Libby Hineman; and nephews, Bill Cox (Cathy) and Ben Cox.Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Blair Waddell officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

He was a wonderful husband and father who never said “no” to his family and friends, never met a stranger and was just an all-around good man.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Hayes and Phyllis and Bobby Clark; son, Taylor Olson; brothers Gabby and Ben and sister, Nicole.Survivors include his wife Karree Hayes; children, Brandy Steele, Bo Allison, and Brittany Kirkland; 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother, Tim Armstrong and several loved aunts, uncles and cousins.A celebration of his life will be held at a later time.

Stanley Anthony "Tony" Walker, 69 years old of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away on February 20, 2024. Tony was born and raised in Hazel Green Alabama. He graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1972. He retired from Allied Electric in 2019 where he worked for over 25 years as a master electrician. Tony was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and best friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father Stanley Walker Sr. and his mother Geraldine Walker. Tony is survived by his daughter Callie Walker Rocha, granddaughters Kadence Furr and Adeline Armstrong, his son-in-law Javier Rocha, future grandson Diego Walker Rocha, stepson Jacob Ratley, sisters Kathy (Kenny) Baker, Lisa (Ricky) Bagwell, brothers Jeffrey (Angie) Walker, Rodney Walker (Aaron Gibson), as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Tony is survived as well by his special friend Pamela Armstrong. His family and friends will greatly miss Tony. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 5:00 in the chapel of Hazel Green Funeral Home. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

In 1973 she met her husband Bobby Taylor in Longwood, Florida where they fell in love and married soon afterwards. She was a great mother, she and her husband Bobby adopted 3 children whom they raised as their own. She was a great friend who always saw the good in everyone she met. She had the best-listening ears and gave the best advice. She loved nature and animals, she loved spending time outdoors. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Bobby Taylor—their kids Vanessa, Lauren, and Christopher as well as her grandchildren Riley, Julian, and Sebastian. Paul Davis Goode, 93 years of age, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024. He was born on April 22, 1930, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late James and Stacy Swinford Goode. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, James and Stacy Swinford Goode. He also lost his two brothers, Jerry and Melvin Goode, and his sister, Brenda. Paul is survived by his wife of 66 years, Onis Mansfield Goode, whom he married on September 22, 1957. He leaves behind his daughter, Christi (Paul) Gulley, and his son, Gary Davis (Darlene Morris Jones) Goode. He was a grandfather to Marylee (Cody) Newcomb, Destiny (Leonard) Cole, Gabriel (Crystal) Jones, and great-grandfather to Parker (PD) Davis Newcomb, Tucker Ray Newcomb, Landry Blake Newcomb, Lucas Jones, and Bailey Jones, Aidan McClure and Justin Allen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. As a young boy, Paul began working as a paperboy at the age of 13, learning the value of hard work and self-sufficiency from an early age. He later retired from AT&T (formerly South Central Bell) after 35 years of service. During his military service, Paul served as a communication specialist in the US Army during the Korean War. His bravery and commitment to his country were evident in everything he did. Paul had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the world through his lens. He played the harmonica for an impressive 78 years, sharing his love for music with others. He loved traveling and had visited every state except for two: Wisconsin and Minnesota. Paul dedicated seven years of his life to working at the Lincoln County Veterans Service Office. Paul was also a long-standing member of Park City Baptist Church and proudly identified as a Baptist for 78 years. He was a member of the HSV Track Club. He was a skilled roller skater and loved riding a motorcycle as well as a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a dedicated HAM radio operator and a respected member of the Towry family. The family will receive family and friends Thursday evening, February 15, from 5:00 PM until 8::00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Park City Baptist Church, located on Huntsville Highway in Fayetteville, TN, USA, on February 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Park City Baptist Church. building fund or a favorite charity in Mr. Goode's memory. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
