Rodney Kittrell Obituary

Rodney McMillan Kittrell, a resident of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away at the age of 84 on October 6, 2023. She graduated from Leon High School in 1957 and earned a bachelor's degree from Florida State University. Rodney was a teacher in Leon County Schools and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with family and friends at Alligator Point. Rodney is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lessie McMillan, and her husband of 54 years, Joe Bruce Kittrell. She is survived by her children, Joe Bruce Kittrell II (Bridget), Katherine Anderson (David), grandchildren Mallory McGinnis (Matt), Cody Ross (Courtney), Jackson Kittrell, Tucker Ross and her great grandchildren Teagan, Caiden, Slade, and Carly. Visitation will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Monday, October 9th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. The funeral will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 10th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
