Rodger A "Blinker" Barber, 73, of Six Mile Run, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home Born on November 5, 1949 in Roaring Spring, PA, a son of the late, Willis H and Norma June Barber He was a United States Army Veteran serving with the 101st Airborne during Vietnam During his life he was a coalminer and auto mechanic and was of the Christian Faith He enjoyed working on cars and metal detecting He had three yellow labs Abby, Angel, and Max that he dearly loved He was a friend to many who all had a story to share about him He will always be remembered and missed by many Surviving are a brother Terry Barber, husband of Darlene, sisters, Deborah Brown, wife of Ronald, and Beth Ann Barber Also surviving are five nieces and seven nephews A private graveside service will be held at a later date In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bedford County Humane Society Arrangements are under the direction of the Curtis A Heath Funeral Home Inc 5010 Railroad Ave Broad Top City, PA 16621 Online condolences can be made at www caheathfh com To to the family or in memory of Rodger A "Blinker" Barber, please

Grant Christian Runk was born on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Grant was the son, of Jesse and Jacqueline Runk of James Creek, PA. His paternal grandparents are Wayne and Lisa Runk of James, Creek, PA; Christian and Rosemary Hansen of Milford, CT; and Henry and Karin Lascano of Jacksonville, Florida. Great Grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins. Grant experienced being held by mommy and daddy, grandparents, God parents, aunts, and uncles. Grant will remain his parents' precious baby and they will hold him again in heaven someday. We cannot express the loving and heartfelt care given by all the maternity floor at Mount Nittany Medical Center Hospital in State College, PA. Special thank you to the amazing clinicians, Carrie, Collette, Shelly, Kara, Brittney, Heather, Kayla and Sierra, Dr. Cherry, and Dr. Doucette. The family wishes In lieu of flowers all donations go to the Women and Children's Health Fund. This is the fund that can benefit the Women and Children's Department, including the Women and Children's Bereavement Committee. Walter Abner "Sonny" Johnson, 82, of Saxton, formerly of Sadsburyville, PA passed away at his home on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Born in Coatesville, PA on December 31, 1940, a son of Laura Viola (Hilton) Johnson who survives in Saxton, and the late Walter Griffith Johnson. On August 7, 1993 he was united in marriage to Mae Marie (Brode) Johnson in Elkton, Md. Mrs. Johnson preceded him in death on September 7, 2019. Along with his mother he is survived by a son, William K. Brown, husband of Carolyn (Smith), granddaughters, Amber Luko, wife of Robert, Shauna Donovan, wife of Ryan, Kaylin Gambol, wife of Paul, great grandchildren, Kaden Luko, husband of Abigail (Weaver), Karli Luko, Noah Luko, Skylynn Luko, Nora Donovan, Maeve Donovan, Isaiah Gambol, Adelyn Gambol, and Lydia Gambol. He was of the Christian Faith attending the Hephzibah Baptist Church while living in Sadsburyville. He was employed as a mechanic at Reeds Service station and was a truck driver for McGrails. Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 11-1 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home. Clair I. Horton, 69, of Broad Top, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Born in Huntingdon, PA. on December 9, 1953, a son of the late Isaac Newton and Madeline Ellen (Foore) Horton. On August 8, 1981 at the Robertsdale Church of God, he was united in marriage to Bonnie (Rabenstein) Horton whom survives at their home. Also surviving are children, Nichole, wife of Mark Irvin, Travis Horton, husband of Brittany, Clair I. Horton Jr. , husband of Melanie, grandchildren, Madelynn and Nash Irvin, Oaklee and Grant Horton, and Katie and Amanda Horton. , Siblings, Robert Horton, husband of Janice, Blaine Horton, husband of Mary Lou, Kim, widow of Paul Didyk, as well as nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery A. Horton. Prior to retirement he worked as a leather cutter and in the lab at the former SETON Co. in Saxton, PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved his grandchildren, working in the yard and woodworking, as well as being an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a member of the Trough Creek Valley Community Church and was a life member of the Greater Broad Top Area Sportsman's Club. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2-5 PM and again on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 10-11 AM at the Trough Creek Valley Community Church with Funeral Services following at 11 AM. Martin Dale Bolinger Sr. , 93, of Calvin, formerly of Woodvale, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 13, 2023. Born in Defiance, PA on February 9, 1930, a son of the late Martin E. and Naomi (Nead) Bolinger. Surviving are his wife, Fayette P. Bolinger, Children; Mark, James, Lisa, Martin Jr. , and Christine, Step-Children, Barbara, Francis, Tammy, Steven, and Mark, as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family being preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ernest D. Bolinger, Grover S. Bolinger, Roy J. Bolinger, a sister, Eva M. Rosenberry, and a son, David M. Bolinger. He served over 20 years in the United States Air Force being honorably discharged in 1969 as a Chief Master Sargent. He recieved his BA from the University of Maryland then working as a personnel director in the medical field. He was a life member of the American Legion and the NRA, as well as being a member of the Lions Club and the Coal Miners Museum in Robertsdale. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in the I. O.
