Rock M. Strange, age 62, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Robert Packer Memorial Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on April 26, 1961, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Jack M. Strange and Patricia A. (Wilcox) Tokarz. Rock was the husband of Kim (Hults) Strange. He worked as a truck driver for Hilfiger Transportation and Cross Excavating, and enjoyed honeybees and being a farmer. Rock is survived by his wife, Kim; daughter, Tiffany (Jonathon) Stone of Troy, NY; brother, Jack (Patricia) Strange of Mainesburg, PA; granddaughters, Kaelyn and Fiona; stepfather, Bernie Tokarz of Blossburg, PA; half-sisters, Deborah Lawson of Indiana, PA, and Carlene (Bruce) Mohr of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Kandi Bostwick and Jill Cross. Friends and family are invited to call from 2:00 P. M to 3:00 P. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank Edward Dunkle who peacefully journeyed into his eternal rest on November 30, 2023 at the age of 84. Born on August 8,1939 in Elmira, NY, he was predeceased by his loving parents Henry Sr. and Anna (Zahorian) Dunkle. Frank lived a life that touched the hearts of many. He loved his family and loved to talk to people even if they were strangers. In fact, with Frank, no one was a stranger. He was a butcher at Acme Supermarket for 38 years in Southport, NY, and he was beloved by so many customers who came to know him there. In the footsteps of his parents, Frank understood the importance of ensuring that his children followed in the Catholic faith at St. Mary's Church in Elmira, NY. He enjoyed going hunting, playing euchre and other card games, and going to Casinos. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all of his heart. Frank is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Sharon (Whiting) Dunkle. Their marriage began in high school, and, despite all odds, lasted 66 years. Together, they built a home and family on Kinner Hill Road in Pine City, NY. Frank also is survived by his children, Timothy Dunkle of Harrisburg, PA, Diane (Michael) Root of Westfield, PA, John Dunkle of Chicago, IL, and Eugene (Dan Downs) Dunkle of Phoenix, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Damon Prutsman, Felicia (Chaes) D'Andrea, and Rachael (Josh) Barrett; 10 great grandchildren, Nathan, Micah, Bella, Emaleigh, Alivia, Isla, Elliott, Kyler, Austyn, and Levi. He was also survived by sister-in-laws Maxine and Josefa Dunkle and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Leonora (Richard) Race and Lena (Eddie) Pautz; brothers, Michael (Nancy), Henry Jr. (Betty), Richard, and Paul Dunkle; son-in-law, Richard Prutsman, and god-daughter, Catherine (Kate) Elizabeth (Ketter) Smith. Marianne S. Bozzo, age 76, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at her home. She was born on March 29, 1947 in Bad Segeberg, Germany, a daughter of Hellmut and Charlotte (Dose) Seefeldt. She immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was five years old. Marianne graduated from Mansfield University in 1969. She taught German and English at Liberty High School for 34 years. During her time there she chaperoned 10 student trips and one adult trip to Germany. She also visited her German family numerous times over the years. Marianne and her husband, Paul Bozzo, celebrated 54 years of marriage on July 26, 2023. She was a member of the Columbia Literary Exchange and the Mansfield Garden Club. She enjoyed playing tennis, card games, traveling, and spending time with her family. Marianne was an avid walker and gardener. Marianne was known to all her friends and family as "Mugge" (moo-ka) and to her students as "Frau. " She leaves behind a legion of family and friends who loved her and will sadly miss her companionship and good counsel. Her gracious and good heart gained her the love and respect of her many friends. Her family will mourn the loss of her listening ear and guiding words of wisdom. Marianne is survived by her husband, Paul; a son, Nathan Bozzo of Blossburg, PA; a daughter, Susanne Bozzo of Snowflake, AZ; two granddaughters, Lana and Sophia Bozzo; two brothers, Juergen (Kate) Seefeldt of Mifflinburg, PA, and Gary Seefeldt of Port Allegany, PA; and a sister, Jody (John) Maxwell of Hingham, MA. Estro "Eddie" M. Volpe, age 92, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Valley View Nursing Home in Montoursville, PA. He was born on May 4, 1931 in Norristown, PA, a son of Ernest and Ida (Morano) Volpe. Estro was married to Edith J. (Scholl) Volpe. He was the assistant director of school and grounds in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Estro was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church in Mansfield, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old tractors, and little league baseball in Plymouth Meeting. Estro was a lifetime member of the NRA, volunteered at the Mansfield Food Pantry, and in his youth played minor league baseball for the Philadelphia Athletics. Estro is survived by wife, Edith; his son, Ernest (Virginia) Volpe of Lumberton, NJ; two daughters, Bonita (David) Marques of Seattle, WA, and Christina Bradbury of Minocqua, WI; five grandchildren Gregory (Lillian) Marques, Rebecca (Shawn) Scully, Brenna (Michael) Bradbury, Anna (Greg) Sevant, Evan Volpe; four great grandchildren, Violet, Rowan, Freya, Elise; and a brother, Ernest Volpe of Norristown, PA. Douglas Kenneth Kelly, age 56 of Mansfield, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1967 in London, England to Colon and Anna (Morgan) Kelly. He was a 1985 graduate of Corning East High School. He married Tracey Lehman in June of 2000. He was employed by the KFC in Corning, NY for 15 years. Douglas will be remembered as a quiet, but kind and caring man, and a loving Papa to his granddaughter. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his many house plants. He will be fondly remembered for his love of the outdoors, often sitting on his front porch enjoying watching the birds. Doug was a NASCAR, football, and ice hockey enthusiast supporting Dale Earnhardt, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Buffalo Sabers. He was talented at model building including countless cars and Star Trek ships. He was also talented at cross stitching. Douglas is survived by his wife Tracey of Mansfield, PA; three children: Steven (Amanda) Arnold of Corning, NY, Megan Kelly of Mansfield, David Lehman Kelly of Mansfield, PA; mother: Anna Kelly of Corning; granddaughter: Lilah Decker of Troupsburg; sisters: Christine Kelly of SC, Kathline Kelly of Lancaster, PA. Eugene F. Fessler, age 87 of Manfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Broad Acres. He was born October 13, 1936, in Blossburg, a son of Harry and Mary (Kelly) Fessler. Eugene was an Army Veteran during Vietnam and worked for many years as the Director of Media Services at Mansfield University. He was married to Virginia C. Fessler, who preceded him in death in 2018. Eugene was also a member of the Holy Child Parish as well as the VFW, American Legion and Arnot Sportsman's Club. Eugene is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Mike) Antes of Oxford, PA; his 3 sons; Mike (Kate) Fessler of Little River, SC, Chris (Kim) Fessler of Harleysville, PA and Scott (Lori) Fessler of Covington, PA; daughter-in-law, Carla Fessler of Fredericksburg, VA; 7 grandchildren, Brittany King, Vicki Madison, Chad Fessler, Ashley Antes, Kyle Antes, Kelsey Fessler and Kassidy Fessler; 6 great-grandchildren, Landon Fessler, Avery Hall, Oakley Madison, Jackson Hall, Bristol Madison and Lily King; a sister-in-law, Patti Kendrick of Mansfield. Our son Joey was an avid Eagles fan, cheering on every game and making his Velveeta dip was a favorite. He liked carpentry, listening to music, gardening with his mom; and cooking for his family and friends. He enjoyed grilling and summer barbecues and he often hosted holiday dinners and loved Christmas decorating. Joey had many friends and childhood friends; he cherished their friendship for life. Joey was a Graduate of Cherokee H. S. in Marlton, NJ. He held an AA Degree and was Dean's List at Burlington County College, NJ. He then went on to Graduate in 2016 from University of Massachusetts Lowell with a BA in Computer Science and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Joey worked at his mother's store during summer breaks and became an accomplished upholsterer, he took pride in his work and one-of-a-kind upholstered chairs. He built and repaired furniture and In his leisure time he was an avid gamer, and enjoyed movies. He loved to stay home and hang out with his family and friends. Joey and Frankie had a mutual love and admiration. They enjoyed the Eagles games and found a way to keep in touch and cheer on the Eagles, even though they were on opposite coast. They enjoyed gaming, IT, and were best of friends. His Lil sister, Jessica was his heart. Their time together was spent cooking, talking and listening to music. They will honor and keep him alive in their minds and hearts on their journey thru their lives. Joey is survived by his Mother, Kelly Bollock- Mitchell, Stepfather, Gary Mitchell, of Wellsboro. Father, Frank Buechler, Jr, of Galeton. Joey is survived by his brother Frankie Buechler (Lt US Navy) stationed in California (neice Adriana, nephew Logan) also of California, Sister Jessica Mitchell (neice, Emilee) and (Partner) Joshua Smith of Rochester. Joey is also survived by his loving Grandparents, Franklyn and Betty Bollock of Germania. He is also survived by a large extended Family of Aunt's, Uncle's and cousins, who will miss Joey very much.
