Uxbridge - Jean B. "Jack" Turcotte, 74, of Julia Drive passed away on Weds. , Nov. 1, 2023, unexpectedly but peacefully at home. Jack was predeceased by his husband of 12 years, Mark Porter, who passed in 2018. Jack is survived by his three sons, David A. Turcotte and his fiance Michelle Perkins of NH, Jean B. Turcotte II and his wife Briana of Uxbridge, Ma, and Joshua A. Turcotte of Attleboro, MA; 8 grandchildren, Rylee, Madison, Abby, Ava, Elicia, Amanda, Alex, and Emily; 5 siblings, Adrien Turcotte, Vivianne Couturier, Suzie Holewka, Danny Turcotte, and Rene Turcotte, as well as many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Turcotte. Born on Dec. 15, 1948 and raised in Fall River, Jack was the son of Edward and Doris (Bernier) Turcotte. He had lived in Uxbridge since 2018. Previously he lived in Auburn. Mr. Turcotte had many talents and interests. He worked as a courier for the U. S Postal service in Portsmouth, RI. Previously he worked for K&R Auto Salvage in N. Providence and several years as an assistant to his husband in his real estate business. He attended high school in Fall River and then furthered his education graduating from UMass Dartmouth. He was a proud U. S Army Vietnam veteran who belonged to the American Legion of Millville. Jack was very knowledgeable about and dedicated to the needs of veterans. Jack 'Pepe' was a joyful, witty and caring grandfather. He loved and admired his grandchildren very much. He was so proud of them and his children and always focused on their positive qualities and various aspects of their lives. Jack had a special bond with his granddaughter, Rylee, with whom he often shared early breakfasts, afterschool snacks and fun adventures. Jack 'Pepe' felt special delight when watching Rylee and her Dad, Jean, do daily chores together, as they cared for the rescued animals on their little "farm". He found comfort after hours, when all was quiet, sitting with his son, Jean, on the front porch, reminiscing and enjoying these moments together. Jack also loved coffee, cigarettes, weed, and wine, and spending time with friends. He could banter with the best of them at the Pot Belly Pub in Millville. Jack took special pleasure in traveling near and far as well as staying home, offering adviceand making kale soup for his family. Meticulous and organized, he was caring, giving, funny and fun. We will be forever grateful for Jack Turcotte's kind and gentle spirit. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. To leave a condolence message for his family please visit: www.
