In Loving Memory of Darrin Tseem Kub MouaDarrin Tseem Kub Moua, a cherished son and the only brother to his three adoring sisters, passed away on February 13, 2024, at the tender age of 21.Born on July 3, 2002, to David and Dalee Moua in Atlanta, Georgia, Darrin was the second oldest of David and Dalee's four children. He was the beloved brother to his older sister, Denise Moua, and two younger sisters, Demi Moua and Destiny Moua.Darrin's radiant spirit illuminated the lives of his family and friends as he grew up in Lawrenceville, GA. He was a beacon of light, demonstrating compassion and warmth to those around him. After graduating from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, GA, he embarked on his journey towards a promising career in the IT/Computer Science field by enrolling at Georgia Gwinnett College. Despite the demands of his studies and a full-time job, Darrin devoted himself tirelessly to his aspirations.As a son, Darrin was a pillar of support to his father, always ready to lend a helping hand in their everyday lives. To his mother, he was the apple of her eye, his warm smile and attentive ear a source of immense joy and comfort. Darrin's deep affection for his sisters was evident in the care and protection he provided, embodying the true essence of a devoted brother. Lana Irene Crawford Brown, a beacon of love, faith, and resilience, passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on October 16, 1940, to Peter Lamar Crawford, Sr., and Irene Thompson Crawford in Miami, FL, she embarked on a journey that would leave an indelible mark on everyone she touched.Lana's early years in Thomasville, GA, laid the foundation for a life of achievement and adventure. A proud alumna of Thomasville High School, her musical talent shone through her clarinet performances in the band. Her thirst for knowledge propelled her to Georgia Southern College, where she not only earned a BSEd with an emphasis in Math but also became the first in her family to graduate from college. It was during her student teaching at Metter High School in Metter, GA, that Lana met George Ronald Brown, her beloved husband of 61 years, weaving a love story that spanned continents.As a dedicated military spouse, Lana embraced the nomadic life with open arms, enriching her family's life with diverse cultures. Wherever she lived, she learned how to cook the local cuisine and could easily have been a tour guide in Florence, Italy. Lana's passion for education never waned. She obtained a Masters in Education from the University of Arizona, all while expecting her fourth child. Her innovative teaching techniques and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on her students.Above all, Lana's devotion to her family and her faith stood paramount. Her kitchen, often filled with the aroma of fresh herbs and her signature dishes, was a testament to her love for cooking and healthy living. Her skillful hands created heirloom needlework pieces, each stitch a symbol of her love and dedication.Lana's steadfast faith in Jesus illuminated her path, providing strength and comfort through trials and triumphs. Cherished for her fervent prayers, she believed deeply in the power of intercession, dedicating her later years to enveloping her family's future generations in prayerful protection. She was a member of Statesboro New Covenant Church and, later, Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, where she formed lifelong friendships and contributed to her community's spiritual life.The Brown family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Seniors Class at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church for their wonderful community of friendship, love, and support-Ron and Lana cherished your class deeply. James Francis Ahles, 52, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, surrounded by family after a long battle with Leukemia. His Celebration of Life service will be held at the Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 3 pm. Visitation will be one hour prior at 2 pm.James Ahles was born on June 16, 1971, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to James and Maria Ahles. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. James joined the military immediately after high school and proudly served in the intelligence division of the Army for over 23 years. He valued his service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class prior to retirement.He is survived by his loving wife, Darcie, his children, Isabelle and William Ahles, and his stepchildren, Rebecca and Connor McNamara. James delighted in serving others and volunteering with various ministries. His greatest blessings in life were his family as he was a devoted husband and father. He received the most joy watching his children playing the sports that they loved, visiting wineries with his wife, long walks with the dog Lucy, and watching movies. One of the fondest memories we will always cherish is family game nights.James was a devout Christian and always turned to God with thankfulness for what he had. He had a smile that would light up any room. Although there is a hole in our hearts, we delight in knowing we have an everlasting life, and we will see him again. Billy Reid Thompson peacefully passed away at 94 years old on February 5 inBuford, GA, with his daughters by his side. Billy was a loving husband, father,papa, teacher, and proud Marine. He served in the United States Marine Corps formore than 25 years, being the first flight engineer to travel to and land on allseven continents-Antarctica twice. Following his years of service to our country,he moved into his next career as an ROTC instructor (and Rifle Team coach) inRockdale County, GA. He taught hundreds of students at three different highschools, some of whom kept in touch with Billy throughout the remainder of hislife. Billy loved his family dearly and was always ready with a hug,encouragement, and a loving reminder to “be careful” whenever parting ways. Heliked an ice-cold Coke, “Carolina” barbecue and vanilla ice cream, the Tarheels,Auburn and Falcon football, the Braves, dancing with his wife, and laughing withhis family. In his later years, he became a favorite of his caregivers, and he wasalways gracious and quick with a “thank you” and a “thumbs up” for their helpwith his daily needs. Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years,Norma Mingle Thompson, his parents Bela and Sallie Thompson, sister LouiseRussell, and brothers Howard, Kenneth, and Bela Ware, Jr. He is survived by hisdaughters Donna Cross (David) and Stephanie Hubbard (Allen); his sixgrandchildren - Meredith Udell (Clint), Courtney Harwell (Joe), Cameron Cross(Sara), Katie-Bryn Hubbard, Abigail Hubbard, and Mallory Hubbard; his eight greatgrandchildren - Miriam, Fletcher, and Nora Harwell; Graeme, Alister, Moira, andAdelaide Udell; and Mac Cross; and his nephew Benny Russell (Sybil).Arrangements are being made for Billy to be buried in Arlington NationalCemetery along with two of his brothers. A Celebration of Life open to family andfriends will be held in Atlanta in the near future.

Mr. James Joseph Pearce was born July 15, 1953 in Stewart County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. John Edmonds and the late Mrs. Willie L. Edmonds. He departed this life, February 5, 2024, in the hospital.Mr. Pearce received his formal education in Stewart County School System. He joined the United States Navy on July 16, 1977 as a Seaman and was honorably discharged in February 24, 1978. Later years he lived in Columbus, Georgia where he met and was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Jennifer Pearce in July 31, 1985. He worked many years in Atlanta, Georgia as an armed transport driver/messenger.Mr. Pearce was loved and admired by all who came in contact with him. His presence will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Jennifer Pearce and three children, Mr. Anthony (Jasmine) Francis, Mr. Christopher Pearce and Ms. Caressa Pearce. David was a 1958 graduate of Sto-Rox High School and served in the U.S. Army for three years from January 1960- January 1963. David was the former General Manager of Gluco in Plum and retired as CEO of LWB, a German Company based in Plum. In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing, especially at Deep Creek Lake. Above all, David loved his family and especially enjoyed any opportunity to be with his grandchildren. There will not be a visitation or service. She is also survived by her sisters, Nanette (Sherrie) Mancuso and Joan (Coy) Jenkins; her brother Ronald (Cheri) Mancuso; her dear aunt Lucille Rago; her special cousin Mary Rago; and her pet dog Ollie. Renee was preceded in death by her parents Joanne and John Magasano. Renee was a 1970 graduate of Gateway High School, here she was regarded as an outstanding and talented gymnast. She attended the former Pittsburgh Culinary Institute which prepared her way to become a fantastic cook. Coupling her cooking skills and outgoing personality, Renee was the generator of joy at any gathering of family and friends. She loved people and they, in turn, loved her. Renee will be greatly missed by those who loved her. There will not be a visitation or service at this time. Renee will be laid to rest in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
