Roberta Fern (Koon) Graves, age 92, passed away peacefully October 4, 2023. She was born August 6, 1931 to Jeff and Iris Koon. She was married to James Joshua Graves and had 4 children – James Graves, Michael Graves, Donna Taylor and Deana Graves; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Iris Koon; her siblings, Charles, Carroll Gene and Margie Koon; and her grandson, Joshua Graves. Roberta was a life-long resident of Ferndale, AR. Roberta, or "Bobbie" as known to her friends and family worked in the insurance industry, had a farm at Paron, AR and ran a store in the Ferndale area. Roberta loved to write poetry, leaving behind an anthology of religious poetry to be enjoyed for countless generations to come. She was an avid gardener always creating a vegetable garden for her and her family. Even this past year at 92 she was still buying seeds, planting seedlings and enjoying the garden as it grew. Robert crocheted gifts for all her family throughout the years that they still treasure. No memorial service or funeral is planned. Roberta will be buried at Spring Valley Cemetery at Ferndale, AR. Trish (Rehkop) Woods of Benton, Arkansas passed away at her home on December 7 th , 2023. She was born to Curtis Rehkop and Roseanne (Bryson) Rehkop on October 14 th , 1971 in Waverly Missouri. Trish graduated from Odessa High School in Odessa, Missouri in 1990. On March 18 th , 2014, Trish married her loving husband, Tom Woods. Trish recently earned the title of Senior Executive Director with Pampered Chef, where she was an extremely dynamic leader and team builder. She thrived in helping her team achieve their goals and success. Her team never went unrecognized. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. Trish had a bold personality and the most infectious laugh; she was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, visiting and telling stories. She was charismatic and approachable; she never knew a stranger. If you ever met or crossed paths with her, you couldn’t help but love her and call her your friend. Trish was preceded in death by her mother, Roseanne Bryson. She is survived by her husband, Tom Woods; daughter, Arlene Fulcher; sons, Bobby Palomo (Ziomara) and Brandon Woods (Doug); her grandchildren, Kamden and Kyren Fulcher and Malia Palomo; her father, Curtis Rehkop; her brothers, Rodney Rehkop and Michael Rehkop; and her sister, Lacy Ralph. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends that all loved her dearly. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Elks Lodge, 822 E Young Ave. Warrensburg, MO. There will be a meal provided after the service. Johnie Delbert Hughes received his heavenly reward on December 8, 2023 at his home in North Little Rock Arkansas at the age of 91 years. Johnie was born to Thomas and Elsie (Watkins) Hughes on August 14, 1932 in Sidon, Arkansas. He was a deacon from December 1957 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in North Little Rock where he was a teacher of the junior high boys and later to the Trailblazer’s class. He also was a handyman to several church projects. Johnny was a retired fireman for the North Little Rock fire department. He retired as captain for the Central Station serving from March 16, 1961 until July 5, 1995. Johnie also served in the Army for two years. Johnie is preceded in death by his parents, sister Geneva Stayhorn; brothers Danny Hughes, Bill Hughes, Wayne Hughes, Michael Hughes, Glenn Hughes, Clyde Hughes; daughter Deborah Jean and grandson Jeremy David Hudman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife 70 years Ruby Gray Hughes; a son Ted Hughes of Mayflower; daughter Lori Hudman of Jacksonville; grandchildren Daniel (Becca) Hudman, Jason (Justine) Hudman, Adam Hughes, Jacob (Candace) Hudman; four great grandkids Carlee Jade Hudman, Lily Mae Hughes, Jack and Hayes Hudman, a future child of Jason and Justine Hudman; sister Lilly Faye McCallister, Laverne Davis; a host of nieces and nephews; and Brother Paul. Mary Hyberina Minyard Hedrick was born on March 20, 1926 to James Oscar Minyard and Mary Elizabeth Garrett Minyard in Garner, Arkansas. Bernie was born into the love a great big family—she was one of 14! She grew up on the family farm in Searcy where that great big family worked hard on the 80 acre family farm hoeing & growing strawberries, corn, and cotton. She met Leroy Hedrick and after a courtship they were married on January 5, 1946 in Searcy Arkansas. They had a strong marriage with the Lord at the center. Bernia loved Leroy so much that she even married him twice! We have proof—we found a marriage renewal certificate date December 9, 1990! She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Leroy , her sons, Alvin and Dub, and 11 of her siblings—Oscar, Ray, Liz, Lander, Bea, Geneva, Kattie, Dottie, Jesse, Bud, and Lee. Lloyd Luther Shirley, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, with his family lovingly by his side. Lloyd was born in Gravel Ridge, Arkansas, on April 1, 1942, to Wilbur and Floy Owens Shirley. He attended grade school and high school in Sylvan Hills and graduated in 1960. After working for a year, he traveled to St. Paul, MN, to attend Apostolic Bible Institute, where he met Nancy Eikamp from Cochrane, WI. Lloyd & Nancy were married on August 24, 1963. After graduation from college, he was licensed with the United Pentecostal Church, Int. He evangelized before assuming the pastorate of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Worthington, Minnesota. During his tenure there, he was instrumental in overseeing the building of a new sanctuary. He also served as the Youth President of the Minnesota-Manitoba District. Three children were born in Worthington: Stephen Anthony (1964), Kevin Alan (1967, deceased), and Cylinda (1968). Feeling the call of the Lord to the Caribbean area, he applied for Foreign Missions service to the Leeward Islands and was appointed in February 1973. He arrived on location in August of 1974 and made his residence in St. Croix, U. S. V. I. He established churches in St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Nevis, and St. Maarten. He began Bible School training in January of 1975 and built a Bible School building on St. Croix for a three-year program. He also held short-term teaching sessions in the other islands in the summer months. During his tenure, he was blessed to have 48 different Associates in Missions who assisted in constructing Bible Schools and churches, teaching Bible school classes and evangelism. In January of 1990, he relocated to Puerto Rico. He served as the superintendent of the work in Puerto Rico and Guyana. 1993 he was appointed Regional Director for Central America and the Caribbean. He resided in Puerto Rico until 1994 when he moved to North Little Rock. In 1999, he moved to St Peters, MO and became Global Missions Director of Education and A. I. M. He served in that capacity for 11 years. In December 2010, he retired and moved back to Arkansas. Throughout his ministry, he was privileged to travel to 76 countries. He served on the Global Missions Board and Compassion Services International Board from 1999 until the present. He made New Life Church, Cabot, AR, his home church and served as the leader of the Flying Eagles Ministry. He also served on the church board. Pastor Tim and Stacy Gaddy and the church family have embraced and loved him through the years. Lloyd was talented and creative in many areas. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. He was a pilot, and always dreamt of building his own airplane. He had many creative endeavors, including woodworking and turning pens. In his lifetime he created over 2,000 ink pens, most of which were given to graduates of Bible colleges around the world or sold for missions projects. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy (Eikamp) Shirley; two children, Stephen Anthony (Karin) and Cylinda (John) Nickel; five grandchildren: Kaylin (Jordan) Dye, Kristen (Michael) Mast, Megan (Logan) Fowler, Seanna (McGwire) Denmark, and Emma Nickel; three great-grandchildren: Loyal Dye, Elowynn & Ivy Mae Mast; two sisters, Mary Brady & Sylvia Gladen, and brother Ken Shirley. He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Alan. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Sneed, the doctoral staff and nurses on Floor 3, and the step-down unit of Conway Regional Medical Center for the excellent care and kindness shown to Lloyd and his family over the last two months. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, followed by a funeral at 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2023 at New Life Church, 107 Commercial Street, Cabot. Jennifer Lynn Myers, born on September 17, 1974, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2023. She is survived by her loving parents, Don and Linda Myers, and her furry princess, Daisey Mae. Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents, the late Raymond and Maxine Horn of Malvern, AR. , and William Ransom and Grace Myers of Arkadelphia, AR. Jennifer lived in various areas, including New Jersey and New York City, but she always held Little Rock, Arkansas, close to her heart. She spent her years as a young girl in Little Rock and then moved to New Jersey for her teenage years. Because of her love for Pulaski Academy, she returned to Little Rock to graduate her senior year. Jennifer later graduated Magna Cum Lade with a business degree from Penn State University. Jennifer had a passion for theater, which blossomed early on, ignited by her admiration for Annie and her days as a dancer at Joel Ruminer’s Dance Studio. She also danced under the direction of Phil Black, a Broadway choreographer, while living in New Jersey. Jennifer had a true love for Broadway musicals, often accompanied by her beloved Daddy, her cherished companion at these shows. Jennifer’s creativity also shone through her jewelry designs. Jennifer Lynn Jewelry Designs was found on shelves of Saks Fifth Avenue and in cities like New York City and Beverly Hills for seven years. Jennifer was fortunate to travel all over the country, embracing life’s experiences. Jennifer spent many years of her life in Northwest Arkansas- yet her heart always longed for Little Rock- the place she cherished as home and where she spent her final days. A visitation will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home at 8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, Ark. , 72205 on Wednesday, December 6 from 5:00-7:00 p. m. , and a service will follow on Thursday, December 7 at 1:00 p. m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Pulaski Academy Early Childhood School (ECS).
