Robert Donnell Woolley, Sr. , a man of Chickasaw heritage, unwavering dedication, and love, passed away peacefully at his home on October 5, 2023, at the age of 92. He was born in Stonewall, OK on January 18, 1931, to William Walter Woolley and Lillian Burris Woolley. Services for Carolyn Sue (Scott) Hicks are 10:00 AM Monday, December 4, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Randy Golden will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday. Carolyn was born May 19, 1948 in Rock Springs, WY and lived most of her adult life in Ada, OK. She was a hard worker & started working as an early teenager as a waitress at Ada's Dog House Drive-In. She's been a waitress, manufacturer, convenience store worker, hospital switch board operator, gas station attendant, sleep study technologist, hotel hospitality meal prep, & Granddaughter's (Jaycee) caretaker. Carolyn was a loving person who cared for her family and liked to laugh. She took care of her mother, as she lived with her on & off through the years. Being a single mom at various points, she always took care of Susie, Brad, & Stacie. She made sure they had what they needed and made celebrations like birthdays and holidays special. Kenneth, her brother, lived with her & the family for a good portion of his growing up years. She was a loving aunt and grandmother, making sure all around her gave her a "real hug". . . . one that sometimes took your breath away. She made it a point to be there for them, as she could, at special events and various hospital stays. She was very proud of her grandchildren and some of her favorite ways to show her love to them was to call them on their birthdays and to give them gifts. Hobbies included sewing (making each grandchild their own quilt as a baby), playing games like Rummy, Scrabble, & Solitaire, enjoying the lake and park, Bingo, going to the casino, & crafts, like ceramics and painting. After being diagnosed with lung cancer in late August, she was able to gracefully and peacefully spend time at home with many family & friend visits. Her family was blessed to see her beautiful walk with Jesus lived out through the time we had with her. We thought we had more time and would've enjoyed just one more day, but are thankful she is at the feet of Jesus - no need for oxygen, no sorrow, no tears, and best of all. . no sin. Praise the Lord!Carolyn is survived by her husband Pat Hicks; brother Kenneth Scott; children Susie Brown, Brad & Jennifer Hicks, & Stacie Wilson; grandchildren Bradley & Kaia Hicks, Colton Furr, Blake Stewart & Taylor Winkelmann, Joshua & Lynnsey Herbel, Phillip Wilson, Nathan Hicks, Brooklyn Wilson, Ryan Brown, Natilyn Hicks, Rylyn Hicks, Braelyn Hicks, Brendon Hicks, and Aaron Hicks; great-grandsons Cash Pardue and Grayson Vick. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Geneva (North) Scott; her sisters Donna Wails, Sharon Bessett, & Janet Roberts; and her granddaughter Jaycee Furr. There are those people you know throughout your life that are genuinely humble, kind, and gracious. Those individuals that would do anything for you in a time of crisis or need. Regie Rowe was a person that embodied that approach to life, known and loved by so many throughout his life - a true member of the community in every way. So many of you knew Regie as a rancher, farmer, pecan picker, hay baler and hauler, and problem solver. He was also a loving husband, father, father-in-law, uncle, brother, son, and grandfather ("PaPa"). Regie lost a 6-month, hard-fought battle with lymphoma this week. During the last months and days of his life, it was clear how loved and appreciated he was to so many. Friends, neighbors, and family surrounded him with love and prayers. He died peacefully holding the hand of his loving wife of 51 years, Katherine. Reginald Dean Rowe was born April 9, 1952 in Ada, Oklahoma to Norval and Juanita Rowe. He graduated from Vanoss High School in 1970 and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agricultural Education from Oklahoma State University. He remained an Oklahoma State fan, a lover of baseball, basketball, golf, and football. He married Katherine Elaine Biggs in 1972, and they shared many adventures throughout their 51 years of marriage - dairy farming, ranching, raising their two daughters, going to basketball games, traveling, and visiting their five grandchildren. Regie was a fixture around Gaar Corner, where he farmed and raised cattle. He was also was a beloved teacher of Agriculture and an FFA advisor for 22 years. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Norval and Juanita Rowe, brothers, William (Billy) and Ronnie Rowe, and sister, Gwendolyn Kragh. Regie is survived by his wife, Katherine Rowe of Gaar Corner, two daughters, Regina Rowe of Rochester, New York, and Krista Grasmick of Keller, Texas, sons-in-law, Julian Meeks (Rochester, NY), Cody Grasmick (Keller, TX), 5 grandchildren, Winnie and Allen Meeks, and Jaxson, Jordan, and Lily Grasmick; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Rowe and Olene Rowe; and a brother-in-law, Jim Kragh. Services will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church in Ada, Oklahoma on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10am in the morning, graveside services to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers are Stephen Rowe, Shannon Rowe, Joe Noble, Earl Delozier, Mitch Henley, and Chris Grimm. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Hoover, Dag Svihus, Dean Bolin, Billy Greenwood, Buddy Berndt, Mike Golden, Bob Nessel, and Rance Walker. Mary Jean Mayhue (Bayless/Wise) passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born to Mildred Chapel Bayless and Norman Lee Bayless in Littlefield, Texas, on February 19, 1934. Mary Jean graduated from Ada High School in 1952 and attended East Central University. She spent most of her life in Ada, Oklahoma, as a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother to a blended family of seven children, grandmother of seventeen grandchildren, and great-grandmother of twelve great-grandchildren. Mary Jean married "Tony" Walter Frank Wise in July of 1952, where they had a family of four children, Toni Jean, Tommy Leo, Teresa Lynn and Tammie Lou. Tony was tragically killed in an accident in 1964 leaving her with four children at the age of 29. Strong and resilient as she was, she purchased the well known Brown's Childrens Shop on Main Street which she operated for many years with her mother Mildred Bayless. In 1968, she married G. C. Mayhue, Jr. , prominent Ada attorney. G. C. had three children, Charles Dale, Catherine Ann and Richard Thomas, and together they became a beautifully blended family of seven. The four younger children along with his youngest, Rick, were adopted by both G. C. and Mary Jean and all became Mayhue. She experienced many years of fun and laughter raising, supporting, and celebrating her large family and watching the numbers increase. Mary Jean loved the community of Ada with old friends and new friends. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Oak Hills Golf and Country Club, a Lifetime member of Phi Theta Chapter of Chi Omega social sorority, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Mary Jean volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was President of the Auxiliary at Valley View Hospital, and greeted and cared for families with sick or hospitalized loved ones. She enjoyed Coffee and Music social clubs, and playing Bridge and MaJong with friends. Mary Jean and G. C. enjoyed traveling with close friends and finding a good golf course to experience along the way. Mary Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Norman Bayless, husband Tony Walter Frank Wise, husband G. C. Mayhue, Jr. , brother John Richard "Dick" Bayless and great-great-grandchild Wesley Banks. Mary Jean is survived by her brother Roger Norman Bayless, seven children, Charles D. Mayhue (Teresa), Catherine A. Blackburn, Richard T. Mayhue (Susi), Toni J. Kalan (John), Tommy L. Mayhue (Cindy), Teresa L. Scott (Barry) and Tammie L. Paris (Kenny). Seventeen grandchildren, Michelle Mayhue, Mason Mayhue (Amy), Megan Mayhue Sontag (Ritchie), Kim Saunders Corsoro (Anthony), Casey Saunders (Ally), Brie Mayhue Truett (Mark), Andrew Mayhue, Connor Mayhue, Oliver Kalan, Jack Kalan, Remi Kalan, Crystin Andeel Holley (Jarrod), Logan Mayhue, Addie Scott, Anna Beth Scott, Melanie Paris Shocklee (Joe) and Alex Paris. Twelve great-grandchildren, Garrett Abney (Morgan), Dalton Abney, Reed Sontag, Will Sontag, Barrett Sontag, Rachel Corsoro Williams (Jace), Christopher Corsoro, Chloe Saunders Banks (Chris), Elise Truett, Anna Truett, Carrie Truett, and Harlow Rose Holley. Mary Jean led a full life surrounded by her family who loved her very much. Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 2 at the First Presbyterian Church, 301 East Kings Road, Ada, with a reception following at 2:00 pm in Westminster Fellowship Center. Services for Eveline "Evelyn" Williams Cushenberry are 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Reaper Baptist Church, Rev. Clive Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Eveline was born in Ada, Oklahoma on August 25, 1954 to WD and LV Wright Mitchell. She grew up in a Christian home filled with love, laughter and prayer. As a young lady, she found her calling to join Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and become a wonderful singer. She continued this form of worship till her death, on November 23,2023. Evelyn was a beautiful person inside and out. She brought smiles and sunshine when she entered the room. She was a great listener and loved to joke and discuss whatever one would desire. She had a unique and personable personality that everyone enjoyed. After high school, Evelyn attended Okmulgee Tech Culinary Arts. She became a dietitian and her first job after graduation was with Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Evelyn loved the work and thrived. Later, Evelyn started catering and was very successful with her catering service. She catered weddings and other special events. Evelyn shared her cooking talents working as a dietitian at Jan Francis nursing center and Valley View Regional Hospital. Evelyn had always been a loving faithful person, and she dearly loved her faith, family, and friends. Two of the things that brought the most joy in her life was her daughter, Elvia and her marriage to Leonard "Hollywood" Cushenberry. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2016. We shall miss Evelyn but forever hold in our hearts how she loved children, hearing the songs she sung, enjoying her wonderful meals, and her holy dance and praising God. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Elvia Bradley and husband Anthony; Four brothers, Earnest Wright & wife Angela; Gregrory Hardin & wife C. J. ; Stanley Richardson, and Greg Mitchell; one sister, Vernita McDowell & husband Albert; and a host of nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded Evelyn in death: Phillip Mitchell and Dennis Eugene Richardson; one sister, Sherrie Whitby; and two grandsons, Tameron and Cameron Mitchell.
