She spent most of her life in Ada, Oklahoma, as a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother to a blended family of seven children, grandmother of seventeen grandchildren, and great-grandmother of twelve great-grandchildren. Mary Jean married "Tony" Walter Frank Wise in July of 1952, where they had a family of four children, Toni Jean, Tommy Leo, Teresa Lynn and Tammie Lou. The four younger children along with his youngest, Rick, were adopted by both G. C. and Mary Jean and all became Mayhue. She experienced many years of fun and laughter raising, supporting, and celebrating her large family and watching the numbers increase. Mary Jean loved the community of Ada with old friends and new friends. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Oak Hills Golf and Country Club, a Lifetime member of Phi Theta Chapter of Chi Omega social sorority, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Mary Jean volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was President of the Auxiliary at Valley View Hospital, and greeted and cared for families with sick or hospitalized loved ones.
