Mary Cundari Kinnear passed peacefully at the age of 85 on November 30, 2023, at her home in York Harbor, Maine, surrounded by loving family and friends. Mary was born in Boston, MA, on December 9, 1937, the daughter of Clarence J. Hill and Catherine M. Nolan, and was raised in Medrod, MA. Mary attended Malden Hospital Nursing School, graduating with her RN in 1958. She later attended George Mason University earning her Bachelor's Degree in 1981. Mary was an accomplished gymnast in her youth, was an avid reader, loved to travel, was fond of listening to classical music, and was a competitive bridge player. A wonderful cook, Mary was known as a most gracious hostess. Mary married Francis Cundari (Commander, USN; PhD) of South Boston, MA, in 1958 having three children, Stephen, Christine, and David. Francis died in an aviation accident in 1971, and Mary remarried in 1984 to George "Gus" Kinnear (Admiral, USN; PhD) from Brooksville, FL, who predeceased Mary in 2015. Mary is also predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Kenneth, Robert, and Clarence Hill. Mary is survived by her brother, Edwin "Butch" Hill (Kathleen) of Topsfield, MA, and children, Stephen (Susan), Christina (David), and David Cundari; Grandchildren Matthew (Blair), Bradley, and Kyle; and great- grandchildren Alexis and Max. Mary is also survived by Gus' children, Nanook, Kevin, Douglas (Terry), and Holley; grandchildren Ethan, Felice, Mikaela, Alyssa, Bryony, Amberly, and Siera; and great- grandchildren Manoa, Stella, Silas, Scotia, Dylan, Basil, Elliott, and Coralie.
