Robert Santos Obituary

Robert John Santos, a veteran of the U. S. Navy and resident of San Diego, California passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the age of 52. Robert was born to Norberto and Corazon Santos, on September 21, 1971, in Jacksonville, Florida. After residing in Florida and New York for a number of years, the family settled in San Diego, California. Robert earned his GED from Grossmont prior to enlisting in the Navy. He served 20 years and retired as Logistics Specialist E-6 in 2017 First Class. Many will remember Robert for all the jokes and laughs they shared. His sense of humor brought a smile to so many that knew him. Robert is survived by his three daughters, Jillian Maria, Jamie Nicole, and Ava Jade, along with his former wife, Joy. He is also survived by his parents, Norberto and Corazon, his sister, Josephine Santos Wood, and nephew, Brandon Michael Wood. A committal service with military honors for Robert will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, California 92122. Visitations will occur on Thursday, October 12th and Friday, October 13th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Additionally, a prayer service will occur Friday, October 13, 2023 during visitation hours. Both the visitations and prayer service will be held at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
